Today is the day I will go back to school. Today is the day that I will finally feel what betrayal feels like. Landon Kirby has my school under his little finger. But why? They all know what he did to me. Do they think it's cool? When we get to school I spot Eli. He smiles at me and I smile at him. He waves me over to the wolves. Isa and I walk over there together.

"Hey, Hope." He says and I smile.

"Hey." I nod and he looks around.

"The wolves have been talking. Since you are 1/3 wolf they want you to be in the pack with us." Eli says and I frown.

"But I'm also with the witches," I say and everyone shrugs.

"Hope we like your power and style. Plus you're family." One guy says patting Isa on the back. I nod and look at Isa for approval.

"Welcome to the pack, big cuz!" She says and I smile.

"Eli, Of course, is the alpha male but every month we hold a fight where each wolf gets to show if they are worthy enough to become alpha! That is in three weeks. So if you want to go up against Eli go for it!" Isa says and I nod.

"I can take Eli down," I say and Eli rolls his eyes.

"Man you're whipped!" One wolf says and we all laugh.

"Hopkins come on! It's witch hour!" Rosa says and I shake my head.

"Rosa. Witch hour is literally midnight. Quit calling our meetings witch hour." I say rolling my eyes.

"Eli you too come on," Rosa says and I look up at him.

"You joined the witches?" I ask and he nods.

"I've never had a coven of my own so I thought why not?" He says and I smile.

"WHIPPED!" The same guy yells and I shake my head. Eli makes the guy fall with a snap of his fingers and I laugh.

"I haven't seen Landon yet," I say and Eli nods.

"That's good. Right?" Eli says and shrug.

"I'm not sure," I say feeling the sting of the pain. I bet he feels no pain. I want him to feel the same amount of pain I felt.

"Hope?" Eli waves his hand in front of my face and I unclench my fists.

"Yeah?" I ask and shake my head.

"Calm down you're going to cause a whole earthquake," Eli says laughing as he looks around nervously. I frown at him in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" I ask as I hear the students around me whisper. I try to ignore them and shake my head.

"You were just so tense you had the pictures on the walls shaking," Eli says and I see a picture that was once hanging on the wall on the floor. I take a deep breath and roll my eyes.

"Damnit, I'm sorry," I say picking up the picture and hanging it back up.

"You're good." He says and I shake my head.

"I'm definitely feeling a little uneasy today," I say then shaking my head. I usually never tell anyone that I feel uneasy.

"Yeah, I can tell. But you have a good reason." He says and shivers.

"Are you cold?" I ask and he shrugs.

"I can just feel your uneasiness and it's making me jittery." He says and I nod.

"I'm sorry," I say and he shakes his head. He wraps his arm around me and pulls me close.

"Stop saying sorry." He says kissing my forehead as I nod.
