Sienna Lewis was always the one who was kind-hearted and cares for others more than herself. All her friends loved her dearly, but not as much as she loved them. Of course, throughout her younger years, everyone took advantage of her kindness and used her too many times to count. Even though times were turning for her, she always had the prettiest smile on her face to hide her pain.
She never expected her family to have a history of drug use. They never told her about it but her suspicions were right when she found them passed out, almost dead on the floor with empty pill bottles in their hands.
It was at that moment when she decides to be an NCIS agent in their narcotics department, because she didn't want this to happen for anyone else.
FLETC is where she meets Nick Torres for the first time. He's the typical arrogant probie and always mocked Sienna, but she always one-uped him and vice versa. This turned to a competition for the both of them and later, a beautiful friendship formed. They would always talk and mess around, leaving everyone else to believe that there's something more going on. Maybe there was, but they never spoke about it.
They never told each other that they liked each other, especially when they have the perfect opportunity: grad night. After that night, that's when things changed drastically. She was assigned to the NCIS building in the DC area and he was assigned to the undercover task force.
Of course, they exchanged numbers but he wouldn't answer the calls and texts. They didn't talk for a good 8 years until a recent case. She finds out he's back here in DC and is going to join the team, leaving her both physically and emotionally confused.
Time plays a key factor in their friendship now because Sienna is hesitant and nervous when she's around him. She wants to tell him everything that's happened and how she feels potentially, but she's put up walls. Walls in which no one but Nick can tear down easily.
Maybe this time, their second chance, they can finally express their feelings. But time has also changed themselves as a person. Could that same spark be buried underneath their surface?
