"Good morning everyone!" Sienna beams as she walked through the aisle of the desks to get to hers.
"Morning, Lewis." Agent Tim McGee pipes up after a sip of his coffee.
"Hey, Sienna!" Ellie Bishop greets her friend from her desk. "How was the concert on Saturday night?"
Sienna's brown hazel eyes light up, remembering how her Saturday evening was spent. "It was so amazing, Ellie! She is so good! Oh, I took some pictures and videos. I'll show you." Ellie squeaks as Sienna pulls out her phone and finds her camera gallery and taps on a video from that night.
"Ooh, I want to see!" McGee quickly rushes over to Ellie's desk and peers over Ellie's shoulder. "Who'd you see again?"
"P!nk." Sienna replies simply.
"As in the color?" Sienna nodded.
"Why is she named after a color? I really don't know." Sienna shrugs her shoulders as she receives her phone and tucks it into the pocket of her olive green utility jacket.
"Okay moving on... have you guys heard the rumors?" McGee's voice gets all quiet and secretive, which raises a question in both Ellie's and Sienna's minds.
"What rumor?" Ellie questioned quizzically.
"We're getting another agent apparently. He spent the past 8 months in deep undercover work in Buenos Aires." McGee gossips and Ellie raises her eyebrow in curiosity.
"What has he been doing this month?"
"Well, we don't know. We lost contact with him a few weeks ago. His agency hasn't been able to locate him or get some kind of communication with him. They've been thinking that he's either gone rogue or he's been compromised and..." McGee trails off to make a cutting the throat gesture; Sienna internally winces.
She hasn't said or mentioned this at all to the 2 agents that she's gotten to know for the past 4 years about the agent that McGee has described. Right when he said that he was working undercover, she only thought of one name.
It was hard originally to not try to call or text him because of obvious reasons, but also, because of some deeply imbedded reasons. She was tempted to call him and just confess how she felt and see where things would take them; but she was too scared.
She knew she should've said it 8 years ago, and not a day goes by where she doesn't think about it. In fact, that night haunts her in her dreams just because she didn't tell him.
"Sienna? You okay? Did you hear what I said?" Ellie questions her, snapping Sienna out of her thoughts.
"Sorry Ellie, I didn't catch that. What did you say again?"
