A/N: Yo my little ducklings (🐣). When I said I'm busy doing exams, well, let's just say I said don't expect MANY updates this month. Heh, that and, I missed writing for you guys too much.
CHAPTER TWELVE | GO SUCK ON A SOCK
"Well, do you guys have any math homework you need help with?" Mark asked, smiling between Logan and I. Me being polite, I shook my head and returned the friendly gesture. However, Logan just kept smacking lips while chewing his gum, completely ignoring Mark. Despite Logan being disrespectful, Mark didn't care and looked as if he was used to it. Mark nodded, before turning his head and started discussing something with Lucy.
Lucy and Mark are actually cousins. Mark attends the University of Emmery, which is about a twenty-minute drive from here. Lucy is a great student also. She apparently is studying for a math contest she signed up for, so she's only going to be in the club for a short period of time sadly. She excels in math and told me she also likes working independently. It was her parents who forced her to join so she could do even better. She told me her parents are pretty strict when it comes to her studies, which I get. Mark agreed, telling me how scary they are.
As I was working on my homework, I was rudely interrupted by someone kicking my chair. I rolled my eyes, scooting away from Logan, far away as possible. Since our table was a rectangle, Mark and Lucy both didn't hear because they were on the other side. As I tried moving away from Logan, he caught on to what I was doing, and wrapped his hand around the leg of my chair, and pulled me towards him.
Finally, Mark looked up from his conversation from Lucy, raising as an eyebrow at the sound. Logan quickly picked up his pencil, scribbling down things onto his paper, acting innocent. "What are you guys doing?" He asked, looking between us. I shrugged, pointing at Logan who threw my eraser at me.
"Yo! That was my eraser! You have no permission to throw my things at me!" I told him directly. He just mocked me, using his hands to gesture my actions. Mark wasn't helping since all he did was call us both immature and continued to talk to Lucy. I sighed, "What are you even doing here?"
"Excuse me, I thought this was a free country," Logan snorted, completely avoiding the question I asked. "If you're so interested, why don't you just ask my parents?" He rolled his eyes, his dark eyes staring into my light ones.
"That gives me a clue," I said, smiling. He frowned, now looking at me with a blank expression, not showing emotion. I heard multiple chairs scraping against the floor, making me turn.
"You were a good student Norah, I'm glad we got to work with you. Much better than this boy," Lucy told me, laughing at Logan's shocked face. I also laughed, getting up and packing my stuff. "Don't forget, every Wednesday!" She exclaimed, leaving with Mark. Others also started leaving, and soon everyone left the room. Mr. Adler left the room beforehand, telling us he needs to print some tests.
As I was about to leave, a palm was pressed onto the door, shutting it right back. I flinched, turning around. Logan was looking down at me with a mischievous smirk, making me roll my eyes. "What? What do you want? I'm tired, I want to go home."
"Too bad, so sad," he mocked, laughing at his hilarious joke. His arm was still extended out beside my head, leaning on it while he looked down at me. "I need to tell you something before you leave."
"You could do that without trapping me," I told him, trying to step to the right, but he just slammed his arm on the other side of my head. "Did that hurt? I mean, you don't have any muscle, so like, it probably hurt."
