CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE | LEAVE ME ALONE, FOREVER

✡✡✡

"Okay, we're here."

We stepped out of Ethan's car, shutting all the doors simultaneously. Walking towards Logans' house, Carter raised his hand and knocked on the door.

It was the next day, meaning we had to go to Logans' house to work on our woods project. All four of us dreaded coming here, and of course, we were partners with him. I have told the boys to be calm, mostly Carter, because he was threatening to break Logans' arm if he even dared to lay his finger on me. That's sweet, but his parents are in the house too, I didn't want Carter to get in trouble. I couldn't give two shits about Carter break Logans' arm honestly.

A few seconds went by, and Ethan was going to knock on the door once again, however, the door swung open. We stared at Logan who stared right back, before he rolled his eyes, standing to the side to let us in.

"Gee, thanks for the warm welcoming," Jaxon scowled sarcastically, giving him a glare before pushing past him. Carter did the same, bumping his shoulder with Logan, with as much force as possible. Logan winced, Ethan, walking past him without any eye contact, completely ignoring his presence.

Logan looked at me, sighing and closing the door before letting me in. "Your friends are kind of scary."

Yeah, friends.

I snorted, "I know."

"Can you please make sure they don't, you know, kill me?" He asked unsurely, shuddering a little.

"Are you asking for a favour?" I asked, and I had the urge to roll my eyes, but I forced it back.

"Uh, yeah?" He said, but it came out hesitant and doubtful.

"Aw, that's cute, but I don't do favours for assholes. Now let's go, yeah?"

I walked past him, hearing him gulp from behind me. I turned and nodded towards the stairs, the boys have already made their way upstairs. Logan led me towards his room, and once we finally got there, I snorted a little while Logan glared at the boys.

Jaxon was making a mess of his books, scanning them, before throwing them on the ground. Ethan was spinning around on a desk chair, not really doing anything destructive. Carter was on Logans' bed, laying on his bed as he threw some pillows on the floor and threw a pillow in the air, catching it and repeating the process.

"Is this how you guys welcome yourselves in rooms? I just cleaned my room!" Logan whined, surprising us on how childish he sounded.

It surprised us because Logan has such a deep voice, we didn't know he could speak so high as he did now.

"This is how we welcome ourselves for people who deserve this," Carter told him, throwing the pillow he had in his arms, aiming straight for Logans' face, "in short, bitches like you."

Logan flinched as the pillow got thrown in his face, and as he caught it in his arms, his expression was saddened. I couldn't help but think that the boys were being a little rude, so I decided to change the topic. "Guys, let's just start on the project. Logan, you finished the design we were going to do, right?"
