"you're the only friend i need
sharing beds like little kids
and laughing till our ribs get tough"As the Israeli sun shone through the windows Michelle woke up entangled in the sheets of Matthías bed. She turned around to see his naked body sleeping peacefully next to her. She observed him for a while, noticing the way his sculpted body slowly rose up and down as he breathed in deeply. His dark hair was still disheveled after yesterday's escapades and a bit of hair had stuck to his forehead, tempting Michelle to brush it away. She decided against it and looked over at the clock at the nightstand.

She relaxed a bit when she realized that she didn't have any plans until eleven o' clock and didn't need to hurry at all. She continued looking at Matthías, admiring his godlike body. Were all Icelandic men this handsome?
"Don't you know it's rude to stare?" he suddenly uttered in a raspy voice, eyes still closed. Michelle was startled and struggled to defend her actions only for Matthías to open his eyes and chuckle deeply.
"It's okay I'm only messing with you" Matthías said in an amused voice.
They fell into an awkward silence, both of them unsure of what to say.
"So..." Michelle began. "What are your plans for today..?""Some rehearsing and a couple interviews later, nothing to exciting, the band is going for breakfast in a while" Michelle nodded her head understandingly as Matthías rolled over to his side, facing her.
"You should come with us. I know Sólbjört would like your company"
Michelle pondered over the offer, she had to get breakfast anyways and it would be nice to catch up with the others. And in some strange way she enjoyed being near to Matthías, she wouldn't admit that to herself though. She noticed that Matthías was still looking at her, awaiting her answer.
"Sure, I just gotta go to my room to freshen up a bit first"
"Of course"
Michelle slowly sat up in the comfy bed, almost not wanting to get up. She pulled the sheets over her shoulders to shield her naked body from Matthías, not that he hadn't seen it just hours before. She picked up her clothes from the floor and quickly got dressed before grabbing her purse and heels in her hands.
"Well I'll see you in a bit" she said and walked into the long corridor, not waiting to get an answer. She quickly went inside her own room that was just a few doors away, desperate not to be seen on her "walk of shame". Well inside the room she quickly stripped and went inside the shower, before going to her wardrobe to get dressed. The wardrobe had a big mirror on it and there Michelle could see the love bites that were scattered over her neck and collarbone. She decided to put on a pair of black jeans and a simple creme colored turtleneck, trying to cover up as much as possible. She let her still damp hair hang loosely on her back and put on her normal shoes before someone knocked on the door. She hesitantly opened it only to reveal Ástrós.
"Hey, I just came to check if you were ready to go, the others are downstairs"
"Yeah, sorry if I kept you waiting" Michelle said apologetically.
"No, don't worry. I just got finished as well, all this doesn't do itself after all" she said, forwarding to her full face of makeup. Michelle smiled and followed Ástrós down to the lobby to meet the others. She looked over at Matthías who was awkwardly looking away from her. She assumed he hadn't told anyone about their little game of "hiding the zucchini", it was probably for the best, it had only been a stupid drunken one night stand after all. Nothing that will ever repeat.
Michelle noticed she had zoned out when the group started moving and she followed quickly after. She didn't even know where they were going but even after just knowing them for a day she had started to trust them more than she initially would've liked to. Andrean, Sólbjört, Klemens and Ástros all joked around while walking down the crowded streets. Michelle and Matthías however were still stuck in the lingering silence from before and unfortunately they had both drifted a few meters behind the group, making them walk next to each other.
"So...about last night..." Michelle began before she was cut of.
"I just think we should pretend it didn't happen, we were both tipsy and just got caught up in the moment"
Michelle sighed with relief over the fact that they were on the same page. There was nothing worse than when a guy would read to much into things and except them to be in a relationship or something.
"I was just about to say that, I'm glad you feel the same way. So seeing as we're starting over, I guess we're friends?" she said suddenly feeling a bit unsure until Matthías gave her a small smile that made all the worry wash away in an instant.
"Sure, friends"
They walked the rest of the walk in silence, however it wasn't an uncomfortable silence like before. There seemed to be an mutual understanding now that made the air around them feel lighter. As they arrived at the breakfast place they both felt more at ease and sat opposite each other at the long table the band had occupied.
"So how did you start with photography?" Matthías asked with a genuinely curious look.
"Well it started when I-
The breakfast was full of both laughter and meaningful conversations. Michelle felt like she got closer with all of them, even Matthías. Everything about their previous little thing seemed to be completely in the past. They were friends, just friends.
