I do not own Naruto characters. All credits and character goes to Masashi Kishimoto.

This is an AU. There are some slight changes to the characters. Hinata is not a full time housewife but also trains Chunins. In this timeline, Boruto is 16 years, Hinata and Naruto almost 40

Before we start this chapter, it's actually my first fanfic so I apologize if there are mistakes or the story is slow. However, I hope you enjoy it!

Plus, this chapter contains alot more dialog than before cause there'll be a conversation between both Naruto and Boruto.

'Who are you?' Boruto repeated his question in his mind. He furrowed his eyebrows together staring back at Naruto who seem slightly impatient for an answer. Boruto struggled to lose free from Shikamaru's shadow jutsu but it only made the spiky haired advisor more determant to trap Boruto even more.

"Shikamaru-san, please release me!" Boruto said almost pleading but manage to maintain eye contact.

"Without the Hokage's permission, I will not. Answer his question, who are you?" Shikamaru demanded with a stoic expression, ignoring the pleading in his voice.

Boruto could not believe this, had his father's best friend not recognize him as well? What is going on? It feels like a turmoil in his head with how people are treating him. Yesterday, almost everyone he knew and everyone who knew him congratulated him with his new rank, some even running up to him to present him with a few little presents before he headed to his training ground. This time, everything feels foreign, even the look and aura his father is currently portraying feels foreign.

He knew his struggles are useless, being silent as well won't help him.

"What do you mean 'who are you?'? I'm Boruto." He stated calmly looking directly into Naruto's piercing blue eyes similar to his.

"I'm sorry kid, but I don't remember a 'Boruto'" Naruto replied, his facial expression now softer than a few seconds ago. "Shikamaru, escort him out." The blond man ordered his right hand man.

"Don't remember? What are you joking about?! Is this a prank? Did mom and Hima set me up? Are you with them? Is that why I haven't seen them this morning?" Boruto scoffed as his emotions slowly overtake him.

Naruto wanted to shut his ears from all the shouting the younger blond is making until what he said piqued Naruto's interest. He listened to every question the boy asked and analysed what he could mean. Was this boy lost? Is he from his village? Why does he think the Hokage himself would participate in a prank and much more with his mom and this 'Hima' person? Naruto cocked his head and scoffed a little.

"Do you think I have time to play a prank with people I don't know? Listen here, as the Hokage, I am very busy. I'm sorry. But I don't know who your mother or who Hima is. But you look lost, I'll assign an ANBU to help you locate them." He paused before repeating his command to Shikamaru, "Escort him out now, I have meetings to deal with and errands that affect thsi village." Naruto talked in a growling manner and continue to flip his papers.

Shikamaru was just about to grab Boruto by the arm until he muttered, loud enough for Naruto to hear,

"Hinata. You don't know my mom, Hinata? The woman who loves making ramen for you on Sunday mornings because you've been begging her to for the past 18 years?" Boruto's eyes wandered as his body shook upon his words. He had to introduce his own mother to his father.

Naruto's mouth was slightly agape. His hands started to sweat profusely, moreover, his blue eyes were shaking at everything Boruto had just said. The beating of his heart pounded his chest, making it hard to breath by the second and his mind ran wild.
