Chanel's POV
It had finally stopped raining as I fully grasped what the blue masked turtle had said. They want to take me home with them? My head was starting to spin as I tried to comprehend the fact that there was 4 human sized turtles right in front of me. The odd part was that I wasn't scared like I should have been, I was curious. The one named Raphael turned to look at his fellow turtle with a blue mask, what was his name?
I thought I had heard his name but I couldn't recall it. I took a moment to look at all of them together for the first time. Since the lighting was bad in the alley I could only see their faces.
They all varied in height Donatello was the tallest followed by the one in blue, then Raphael, and then the one in orange who was still hugging me. I hesitated before hugging him back, it was comforting.
"Umm what's your name?"
He finally released me from his never ending hug, jumping back to take a superhero pose. Putting his hands on his hips and looking dramatically off into the sky he proclaimed,
"I am Michelangelo the great! The destroyer of all evil! The savior of the New York, and OUCH!"
Raphael had cut him off by smacking in the back of the head. I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at the freckled face turtle as he rubbed the back of his head.
"We need to head out before we are seen by anyone else."
The deep voice of the blue turtle spoke up, his eyes were scanning everywhere around them before looking at me with a slight smile on his face.
"By the way I am Leonardo."
He said bowing his head slightly. Raphael was soon standing in front of me, his face seemed more relaxed and his green eyes seemed to shine a little brighter than before. He smirked a little before he spoke,
"Ya wanna come with us?"
He stuck out his green hand, since he was a little taller than me I had to look up at him. I bit my lower lip as I speared a moment to look into his emerald orbs, forgetting for that moment that my heart was shattered, and for that moment I felt a warmth spread through my chest. A calming feeling, so as I placed my hand in his once again I couldn't help but smile.
He returned the smile before guiding me to where the others were gathered around a manhole. Leonardo reached down and pulled off the cover, I stared for a moment my eyes widening as I realized where we were going. I scrunched up my nose as we got closer causing them all to laugh at me.
"It's really not as bad as it seems."
Donatello said giving his gapped tooth smile. I shook my head and looked down into the hole noticing something.
" Where's the ladder?"
I asked glancing at Raphael who still had the biggest smirk on his face. He let go of my hand so that he could cross his arms over his plastron, I noticed that he had a crack at the very top of it. His Brooklyn accent spoke up,
"We don't use a ladder, we jump."
I could feel my eyes widen as I look back at the manhole. The orange clad turtle put his arm round my shoulders.
"Don't worry dudette , it's actually pretty fun."
He took his arm off of me and motioned towards the opening, bowing his head a little saying.
"Ladies first."
Raphael came up behind him and shoved him into the hole, he yelped as he fell down.
"No idiots first." The red masked turtle smirked. I watched as Donatello jumped in next, and Raphael walked up to the opening binding down to look at down there, then he looked back over his shoulder at me. He must have seen some fright on my face because he gave me a warm smile.
"I'll go first, then you jump in and I'll catch you."
Looking up at me his green eyes caught my attention once again. I hugged myself and took a slight step back. He sighed and spoke again.
"Do you trust me?"
I thought about it for a moment. Do I trust these turtles? Yes I do. They saved my life, their offering me help, they deserve my trust.
"Yes I do."
I smiled and watched as he jumped down. I walked to the edge and looked down and sucked in a breath. I looked up at Leonardo who was still holding the man hole cover, he smiled down at me. With one last look around me, I closed my eyes and jumped.
