Chapter 15

Raph's POV

After about an two hours of running roof top I knew we had to go back to the lair soon. Chanel had her arms were wrapped around my neck, I held her close to body as we jumped from rooftop to rooftop. Her small body was shivering from the cold wind,her head was buried into my plastron, and I could hear her teeth chattering.

Leo most have noticed how cold the young red head was because he stopped on when we landed on the next roof. I sighed as I stopped running wrapping both of my around the cold red head trying to give her some warmth. She looked up at me with her big brown eyes giving me a small smile.

"I'm really not that cold."

I chuckled.

"Your shivering tells me otherwise."

She giggled into my chest.

"Mikey I swear if you don't stop touching me."

Donnie swatted Mikey's hand out of his face.

"But bro I swear your getting freckles."

Mikey said sticking his finger in Donnie face again and so their argument continued. I glanced over at Leo to see him standing on the ledge of the building staring off taking in his surroundings. I looked down at Chanel to see her eyes closed, her head resting perfectly on the crack of my plastron.

"Are you getting sleepy?"

I asked squeezing her slightly making her smile and open one eye to peer up at me.

"I'm wide awake."

She said with a yawn. I let out a light laugh and used my hand to brush her hair out of her face.

"Your such a stubborn girl."

This time she opened both of her big brown eyes to look at me. A sudden desire to kiss her filled me basically consumed me. I suddenly found myself lowering my head, lips getting closer to hers. I heard her breath catch in her throat and I felt her step on her tip toes. We were inches away almost closing the gap, but we were suddenly interrupted by Leo.

"Guys hush!"

He ordered silencing Donnie and Mikey, and causing Chanel and I to snap our heads up towards him. We watched him as he slowly crouched down, and slowly reached for the handle of his katana. I started scanning the area as well quickly placing a hand on my sai handle.

"Leo?"

Mikey questioned his nunchucks now in his hands as he looked around frantically.

"Raph hide Chanel now."

Leo said turning to look at me. I didn't hesitate I knew what he saw. Quickly, I basically carried Chanel to the storage room on roof. Using my elbow I busted the pad lock off the door quickly flinging it open. With a little more force then needed I pushed her inside. Her eyes were wide with as she looked up at me, I quickly pulled a little dagger out of its hidden sleeve in my knee pad.

"Stay here and be very quiet."

I handed her my dagger.

"Take this. Keep it hidden and only use it when you need to."

She nodded at me with her hand clinched around the handle. Taking one last look at her I slammed the door shut while Donnie kicked the pieces of the pad lock away.

"They'll be here in less than a minute. Be ready."

Leo flipped towards us with his katanas in his hands ready for battle. I pulled out my sais as the four us us moved away from the storage room trying not to bring attention to it. Together we stood ready for battle weapons ready, and frankly I was ready to bust some heads. I was a little angry at Donnie however for his false information.
