Raph's POV

"So we had to bring her back here Master Splinter."

I watched as fearless finished explaining to Sensei why we had brought Chanel here. My mind wondered to the young red head who's been unconscious for two straight days. I wanted nothing more than to be by her side, it was an unexplainable desire that I had never felt before. I was snapped out of my thoughts by Mikey who was suddenly standing in front of me.

"Raph snap out of it dude."

He snapped his fingers in my face. I glanced down at him, opening my mouth to speak but Splinter spoke instead.

"Raphael, Michelangelo please come over here and join your brother."

He had his back turned to us. I looked over at Mikey, who was already looking up at me. I sighed before walking over to Leo. I sat on his left and Mikey sat on his right. Leo gave us both a weak smile before looking back up at Sensei, as he turned back around to us, stroking his goatee.

"So Raphael you let this young girl see you?"

I felt my blood boil as I realized that fearless had ratted me out.

"Yes Sensei."

I answered glaring at Leo as I did, he returned the glare with the same amount of ice as mine held.

"And how did she respond to seeing you?"

Splinter raised his eyebrow with the question. This threw my off guard, I averted my eyes to and cleared my throat but before I could speak Mikey beat me to it.

"It was amazing Sensei! She didn't scream or call us names or anything. She could be our new friend."

Mikey's eye lit with excitement, a big smile spread across his face.

"Hmm I see, is this true Raphael?"

Splinter looked down at me

"Yes Sensei."

I smiled at the memory of Chanel reaching out to grab my hand with a look of warmth. Her browns eyes looking up at me as she sat on the cold wet concrete.

I was pulled away from my thoughts when I heard the dojo door slide open, turning around I saw Donnie walking toward. Without thinking I jumped to my feet and met him half way.

"Is Chanel okay? Why are you in here? Why are you not with her?"

Anger growing in my voice as put my finger into his chest. He rolled his eyes at me.

"She's fine Raph, geez calm down."

He walked on past me, bowing in front of Splinter and speaking again.

"Master Splinter can Mikey come with me?"

"Why do you need him my son?"

Splinter put both of his hands on the top of his cane. Donnie straightened back up.

"I need his help making soup"

Donnie rubbed the back of his neck. I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

"So the brainiac can't make soup."

Donnie shot me glare.

"Can you meathead?"

My laughing was replaced with anger as I returned his glare.

Mikey was soon in between the both of us slinging his arms over our shoulders.

"Bros just admit it. I'm the only one who can cook."

He smiled up at us, I reached up and flicked him in the back of the head. Mikey jumped back and rubbed his head.

"Not cool bro." He mumbled sticking his tongue out at me.

"Donatello how is the young girl?"

Sensei spoke making the three of us turn back to him and Leo. Donnie coughed to clear his throat before he spoke.

"She conscience, she's responding well to questions. I gave her some medicine to help with her congestion."

"Where is she now?"

Leo stood back up as he spoke.

"She's upstairs taking a shower."

Donnie nodded his head towards the stairs. I couldn't stop my eyes from looking to door of the dojo. There was a slight crack where Donnie hadn't closed it all the way, I couldn't see the bathroom but I could hear the water running.

"Raph what are you doing?"

Mikey's question made my checks turn red, I turned back around to see Donnie and Leo wearing a knowing smirk.

"Nothing."

I mumbled crossing me arms across my chest.

"My sons, please give me and Raphael some privacy."

Splinter once again had his back turned to us, I felt myself tighten up as the others walk past me. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding when I heard the door shut.

"Raphael."

Sensei was now standing directly in front of me, staring down at me with his brow raised.

"Yes Sensei."

I bowed my head.

"What did you see in young Chanel?"

"What do you mean Sensei?"

Raising my brow slightly confused by the question. He chuckled before he spoke again.

"I know you my son, you saw something in that young girl, something that drew you to her."

I shook my head flinging my arms in the .

"I don't know, I guess, what I saw was brokenness inside her eyes. But I also saw something in her that interested me. And I saw something that reminded me of myself."

I hung my head in defeat. My emotions confusing me the more I thought of the chocolate eyed girl, who captivated me in many ways. I felt Splinters hand on my shoulder causing me to look up at him.

"My son, you must get to know this young girl, find out who she is and why there is brokenness in her. Leonardo told me that she really only spoke to you."

I nodded my head in agreement.

"Then you two have already formed a bond. What you make of that bond is up you."

He began to walk towards his room leaving me in the middle of the dojo by myself. I mumbled under my breath as I thought of Sensei's words, walking out of dojo to join my brothers in their cooking adventure.
