Chanel's POV

An hour later my black cast was now done and drying. I took a good look at Donnie's handy work as he put his supplies away. The cast went down to my elbow and wrapped around and covered most of my thumb.

"How does it feel?"

Donnie said as he sat down in his computer chair that was in front of me.

"Well It feels pretty heavy."

I said lifting it off the table. This was my first time with a cast so the feeling was new but I could still feel some pain in my wrist.

"My wrist is still hurting."

My voice almost sounded like a whine. He smiled at me before walking over to a drawer in his desk pulling out a pill bottle.

"I have some medicine that will help with that, it will also make you sleep for awhile."

He grabbed the bottle of water that was sitting by his computer and handed it to me along with a big pill. I took a long look at the horse pill before sighing, and placing it in my mouth, quickly taking a big gulp of water right behind it.

Donnie went back to cleaning up his area leaving me to sit there and wait for the pill to take effect. I let out a big yawn as I put my good arm on the lab table and let my chin rest in my hand.

"Donnie what time is it?"

He looked at me over his glasses, his big brown eyes showed exhaustion as he look at the small digital clock next to his computer.

"Almost 4 in the morning."

He then let out a big yawn as he plopped himself back down in his chair, taking off his glasses so that he could rub his tired eyes.

"Thank you Donnie."

He looked at me with a weak and tired smile.

"Your welcome Chanel."

We sat there in silence for a moment, both of us ready to pass out. Donnie was the first one to break the silence.

"So when are you going to tell Raph you love him?"

He smirked at me as I looked at him in disbelief.

"I don't love him."

I lied as I looked around the room, he just laughed and said

"You can't lie to me Chanel. You tell me everything, even when your not talking."

He raised his brow giving me a serious look. I looked at him confused for a moment.

"What do you mean?"

He chuckled at me.

"Your actions and your facial expressions speak louder than your words."

I sighed in defeat.

"I'm afraid to tell him."

I dropped my head.

"Why?"

He asked through his yawn.
"Because I'm afraid of rejection."

I jumped out of the chair and began to pace back and forth.

"You honestly think he's going to reject you?"

He chuckled and turned his chair so that he could watch me pace.

"Yes. I mean look at me Donnie my life is a mess. I'm basically broken glass and I'm pretty sure Raph doesn't want to cut himself trying to fix me."

I stopped walking and just looked at him as he looked at me with sympathy.

"Chanel listen to me. I have watched you and Raph for the past two and half months. And from what I've seen is Raph would be willing, not only to cut himself trying to fix you, but I think he would go to hell and back for you."

His words shocked so me much so I didn't notice that he was now standing in front of me. He smiled down at me, with his gap tooth smile making me laugh.

"You really think so?"

I said looking up at him.

"I know so."

He said as he wrapped me in a brotherly hug. He let go of me and sat back down in his seat, he face was now serious as he spoke.

"But you can't wait to tell him, because if you wait to tell him then you might lose him to someone else. Trust me on that."

He turned his back to me in his desk chair. I felt a sting of sorrow for him, because I know he was talking about his heartbreak with April. I couldn't help but want to hug him, it hurt me seeing him like this. I walked over to him and wrapped my good arm around his neck making him tense up.

"Donnie your gonna find a wonderful girl one day. One that will love how smart you are, and how you can spout out random facts."

He slowly brought his hand up and placed it on my arm. He turned his head so that he was looking up at me.

"Your too kind Chanel. Thank you."

He stood up and returned the hug. I let out a big yawn as I felt my eyes get droopy, he yawned in return before laughing.

"I think it's time we get to bed."

I watched him as he turned his computer off and put his chair back. I then followed him as he walked towards the opening, he stopped to make sure I was following him. He let me walk out first turning out the light behind me.

The lair was dark and quiet, the only light was coming from the kitchen. Donnie walked in front of me as I struggled the find steps. We finally made it to the top, both of us moving slowly as sleep began to consume us.

"Chanel that medicine is going to put you to sleep for awhile. You might sleep all day."

He stopped at his door and watched me as I continued to walk down the hallway to my room. I stopped when I placed my hand on the doorknob.

"You get some sleep too Donnie. You deserve it."

He smiled at me and then waved.
"Good night Chanel."
"Good night Donatello."
