Patience wasn't something that you dealt with easily. Being patient wasn't one of your strongest points. You hated waiting. In lines, if someone was late or just a buffering symbol on a video you're trying to watch.

Currently, you were waiting. On the top of the rooftop. Your arms holding yourself as rain gently fell onto your hair. Your fingers fiddling with each other as you let out a shaky sigh. You had waited for him for about an hour. You usually went home if someone had ditched you, but for this boy, you still waited. You were patient for him. You had hope that he'd eventually show up and ask for forgiveness. Your dress was wet and your socks were too. Your eyes looked down at the city below you. The lights illuminated everything perfectly. Everything felt peaceful for a second, until you realized that he still wasn't here with you.

Funny how a person you give so much love to, won't return it. It's always been like this. You fall for someone, but they never catch you so you fall onto a hard concrete floor. Shattering every bit of your heart. Usually, you'd be able to climb back up from the hole you have fallen into. This time, it felt like you kept on falling and falling and falling into a deep, dark abyss. Pieces of your heart have been slowly removed as you couldn't get them back. This boy had officially did it for you. This was the boy who had finally crushed every single body part of yours. Not physically, but mentally. It felt like your bones were getting crushed slowly, until you'd die. But you never died. You kept on having this last bit of hope that this boy would return the love you have given to him.

He never did. You knew that now. He said he even liked you, but I guess he didn't. He canceled 4 dates this month and now, you see why he has canceled on you. He doesn't love you. He never will. Who even could?

Your feet dangling from the edge of the rooftop as you look down. It's pretty high. It'd kill you. You stood up as tears flowed down your red tinted cheeks. Sobs escaped your mouth. You inhaled and exhaled deep breaths and observed the city one last time. He didn't even show up... Your heart shattered even more. Your heart had turned into atoms. At least I'm already on the roof...

My feet shifted softly against the roof. I'm just not good enough... You look up at the sky and felt the rain mixing in with your tears. I should've been better. I should've been prettier. You felt the world spinning a bit as you took a step backwards, preparing yourself. You stood in a running position and you wanted to move, but you couldn't. Eventually, you collapsed on the floor and cried. You held your weight on your hands as you let tears fall onto the concrete of the rooftop. Why is it this hard?

You curled up into a ball as you laid there, in the rain, crying over a boy who had sucked the love out of you.

Little did you know, he saw you. He felt bad. He felt pain. He was hurt. He has barely any love for himself, how is he going to give you the love you need? He felt distraught. He saw you wanting to jump off and was about to catch you if you did, but you didn't. You couldn't. I guess we weren't meant to be together... Peters thought were clouding his mind as he couldn't focus on anything but you. At least, not right now... Peter was hesitating to swing over to you, but he felt like he would do more damage than he has already done.

He didn't even show up... Nothing but pain were in both of your hearts. Nothing but emptiness. Getting your heart broken is the worst thing. It's painful. It hurts. It hurts so much. Why is it worth it, if she's only going to break more... You both needed each other without realizing it. The pain wouldn't stop until you both figured it out. I'm sorry...

Peter stood up on his feet. Wanting to go over to you. Wanting to hug you. He wanted to talk, but he didn't know if you would. Seeing her in pain hurts. Peter let out a few tears as he felt his heart clenching at the sight of her broken figure. She's holding herself as if she's the only person left in her own life.

Finally, Peter takes a leap of faith and swings over to her. He lands softly behind her as she lays on her side. Her sobs echoing through the night sky and the rain falling onto her perfect skin. Peter takes off his mask and walks over to her. He sits down next to you. You weren't able to see him. He reached out his hand to touch yours. You flinched first, but when you saw who was holding your hand, your face softened.

A smile forming on your lips as your tears still roll down your cheeks. "You came?" You said. Your voice was soft and broken, but at the same time, that small bit of hope came back. Peter looked at your face as he studied it. Immediately, he embraced you in a hug. A tight one. He started crying too. A lot more than before. "I'm sorry," Is all Peter could say. You returned the hug. "It's okay," You said, still sobbing a little.
