Chapter Fifteen: Letter

LISA'S POV

After our short but full of happiness tour around Borough market, we decided to get some comforters for them to sleep on, and then we drove straight to the hospital.

"Daddddy! Stop telling them about that!" I complained, "It's embarrassing!"

Daddy didn't listen and continued to tell them about my childhood "Then she said to me 'But he punched me, daddy! That is why I punched him too!' The poor little guy got a black eye while Lisa just got a little bruise on her shoulder."

"You're such a bad kid." Rose commented to me while shaking her head "What happened to the poor kid?"

"Well, daddy apologized and I never did. He started the fight and it wasn't my fault that he's weak." I answered, "Can we stop talking about it now?"

Someone knocked on the door. A nurse came in "We will just dextrose your daughter, sir." They informed my dad

They asked me first to wear a hospital gown, after changing I laid down on my hospital bed. I kept my eyes shut the whole process, I bite my bottom lip the moment I felt the needle slowly injecting into my vein.

"It's done, ma'am." The nurse said

I opened my eyes, they are all smiling at me.

"You're such a baby, Limario." Jisoo commented

The nurse excused herself and went out of the room.

"I should go now, princess. As much as I wanted to sleep here but my back won't let me. Aging sucks. I'll be here before your operation." Daddy said to me and leaned to kiss my forehead "I love you, princess."

"Take care, daddy. Message me when you got home, yeah?"

"Sure." He turned his attention to my friends "Take care of this brat, okay?"

"Sure, M." Tao answered for the squad

JENNIE'S POV

"Damn it, Rose. Answer the goddamn call!"

I've been trying to call Rose for the nth time but she's not answering.

One last call or I'll check every stupid hospital here just to see her. I tried to call her again on her messenger and finally!

"What do you want, Jen? I thought you're done playing with us?"

"Rose, listen okay? I'm here in London. I... I just want to see Lisa before her operation. Can you tell which hospital?"

"Jennie, I don't fucking care if you're here, Lisa is.. she's happy now, and don't bother her again."

"Rose, I know what I did was wrong. I wronged you and the squad but I have my reasons. Please, for the last time, I want to talk to her. I need to fulfill my promise to her." This time I can't stop myself from crying, I've never begged like this before

I heard her sighed "Okay, she's sleeping right now, maybe this is the perfect time for you to see her. She's not ready yet to see, Jen. I'll text the address of the hospital and her room number."

"Thank you, Chae" I hanged up after seconds I received a message from Rose containing the address and Lisa's room number.

Five minutes have passed and I am still standing in front of Lisa's room.

"You can do this, Jen." I convinced myself and I slowly twisted the doorknob

My heart started to beat faster as the butterflies rumbled inside my stomach the moment I laid my eyes on her. Lisa. She's sleeping on her hospital bed, mouth slightly agape nonetheless she looks so perfect and beautiful. I missed her so much.

I looked around, our squad is here. Sleeping on their comforters and Rose is sitting on the couch, arms crossed staring at me with a frown.

"Chae.." I approached her and sat next to her

"You're here for her, right?" She rolled her eyes at me

"Chae, I am really sorry for what I did. I need to distance myself from you. Trust me, I have my reasons but.."

"But what, Jen? You acted like a total stuck-up bitch then you want to show up here telling me you want to fulfill a promise? Tell me what kind of bullshit is this?"

I am hurt and I have no right to be. She's right but I can't tell her my reasons.

"I'm so sorry." I cried "Keeping you away from me is the best for us. To keep you away from danger."

"What danger? What are you talking about?"

I shook my head "I can't tell you. Can.. can I go to Lisa now?"

She sighed and stood up "I'll wait outside. Don't be too loud, you might wake the others." She then exited the room

I pulled a chair next to Lisa's bed. I stared at her beauty. I held her hand and placed a kiss on her knuckles.

"I... I missed you, Lili." My tears didn't stop from falling "Oh god. I am so sorry. I didn't mean every word I said that day. I never used you, you're not a trash to me. You are my everything now. I am here, Lili. I came to fulfill my promise to you. I came Lisa. I came." I kissed her knuckles again "I love you... but destiny is deceitful. Wrong timing, Lisa. We had our love at the wrong timing. Destiny must be playing with me... It's too late for me when I realized that I love you." I chuckled bitterly "I'm not even sure if you feel the same way but let me love you from afar. Jungkook may have my body but you will always and forever have my heart and soul." I leaned to placed a soft kiss on her forehead "Sorry if I need you to hate me, in that way I can protect you." I didn't think twice, I placed my lips on hers, gently not to waker her up. At that moment nothing matters but me and her. This will be the greatest kiss I will treasure for the rest of my life, I slowly pulled away and smiled at her "I love you so much, my Lalisa."

I fetched the letter I wrote for her while I am on the plane flying to London.

"Give this to her on the date written on the envelope." I gave the envelope to Rose "Please, don't tell her that I went here. Don't mention my name to her as much as possible."

Rose sighed and took the envelope from my hand "What's the purpose of you going here if you won't tell her?"

"At least I know to myself that I fulfilled my promise to her. I did my part and she should do hers. She should live." I am on the verge of crying again "Take care of her, Rose." The painful tears trickled down on my face "Take care of her for me. I love her, Rose. I love her."

Rose embraced me "Even though I don't know the reason behind all of this shits, I will do take care of her. We will, the whole squad. Promise me too that you'll take care of yourself. Call me if you need a hand or if you have a problem. I am still your bestfriend, Jen."

I nodded and sobbed in the crook of her neck "Thank you, Chae."
