"The Day That Wasn't"
Wednesday, 8:15 am
"Three days?" Allison questioned as she handed Luther a coffee. Luther had just told Allison, Diego, Klaus and Eleanor about the oncoming apocalypse. It was safe to say that they were all shocked.
"That's what Five said." Luther replied, sipping his coffee.
Eleanor sat on the floor next to Klaus, a cup of hot chocolate in her hand as she wasn't a fan of coffee. It would have been something a lot stronger, like vodka, to wake her up, but her siblings wouldn't allow her. Also, she was aware that Klaus was trying to remain sober and so wanted to help him through it by not drinking alcohol around him.
"The old bastard did mention the apocalypse, come to think of it." Klaus told them, taking a coffee from Allison. "He just left out the part about how soon."
"But can we trust him?" Allison asked the group of siblings. "I don't know if you've noticed, but Five's a little..." she whistled and waved a finger next to her head, showing that she thought he was crazy.
"I have to agree with you," Eleanor spoke, resting her cup on her knee.
Klaus chuckled, "Our little psycho."
Luther defended Five. "He was pretty convincing. If he wasn't trying to stop an apocalypse from happening, those two lunatics wouldn't be chasing him."
Eleanor raised an eyebrow at Luther before taking a sip of her drink.
"That's why they were after him?" Diego asked.
"Yeah." Luther nodded.
"What did Five even see?" Allison questioned.
"Yeah Luther. He must have told you." Eleanor added, looking up at him from where she sat on the floor.
Luther was quiet for a moment before stuttering, "Uh... Apparently, we all fought together against whoever was responsible."
"Even me?" asked Eleanor.
"Uh.. yeah. I think so." Luther told her. Eleanor just nodded in response and took another sip of her hot chocolate.
The siblings were silent for a few moments before Luther stood up from his seat at the bar and clicked his tongue. "Okay. So, here's the plan." He said, walking past Klaus and Eleanor who were still sat on the floor. He stopped and turned back to face his siblings. "Uh, we go through Dad's research-"
Allison cut him off. "Wait, what?"
Everyone seemed to speak at once and Eleanor pulled her knees up to her chest and placed her hands over her ears, trying to block out the noise. Her hot chocolate sat on the floor beside her, forgotten.
"What actually happened the first time around?" Klaus asked, looking up at Luther before glancing to Eleanor and wrapping an arm around her at an attempt to comfort her.
"Yeah," Diego agreed, glancing at Klaus before turning his gaze to Luther. "What are you not tellin' us? Come on, big boy, spit it out."
Eleanor lifted her head as she and the others stared at Luther for what felt like forever until he finally muttered something. But it was so quiet that none of them heard what he said.
"What was that?" Allison asked him.
Luther coughed and then spoke slightly louder, "I said, uh, we died."
They were all silent, eyes all on Luther, until Eleanor whispered, "Oh okay."
