I stare at the ceiling of the cave, I don't know when I'm going to tell Kovu.

Tell him that he's going to be a father, and soon. I don't know how he'll react. It's weird that, though I've been with cub for over two months, i don't look it ; maybe som blessing from the great kings. I grin to myself and whisper.

"Thanks a lot great granpa Mufasa. Thanks for the great support all the times i nearly died."

I laugh at my own joke, the eerie sound echoing around the silent cave.

I gasp, surprised no lion wakes from their slumber.

I gasp again, but this time for a very different reason : a sharp pain in my stomach...

Kovu

Here I am, not just my normal self, no.

A father.

Kiara woke me up at the crack of dawn, her hazel brown eyes masking pain, mental and most definately, physical.

Took me into one of the private rooms, not any room, the birthing room. This terrified me ; I wasn't prepaed to be a father, not yet, I mean, we aren't even married. I layed down next to her as she muffled screams, and in the end, I'm presented with two playful male lion cubs, and one female.

The oldest male, named Kuua, is a light red-brown colour, his nose is outlander shape, and his eyes are a brown so dark it appears black, he has a black tail and head tuft, overall, he looks most like me.

The younger male, named Kuishi, is a light beige, with a dark pridelander nose and chemical-like green eyes. His tail and head tuft are a brown a little lighter than Kovu's fully grown mane.

Swala, the youngest female is almost totally black, apart from a pristine white muzzle. Her eyes are a beautiful olive green, with strands of gold, yellow and darker green. She has a baby pink pridelander nose. She is utterly beautiful, yet her tiny size compared to that of her siblings is worrying, I doubt she will ever be as competent a hunter as her brothers - who are almost double her size.

Kiara smiles at me, and I head bud her, despite how angry I really feel at her for hiding her pregnancy from me, and the rest of the pride.
