Kovu

Help me, brother, how dare you... How dare you betray Mother, how dare you not avenge scar.

The last word Nuka says to me in the dream is said in a deeper,

I wake up from the horrible dream panting, the guilt leaving me with a growing knot in my chest.

Swala

I watch Granma walk fast back to pride rock. No-one ever believes me.

I kick a rock across the ground, trying to keep in my temper. Eventually I come to Rafiki's Bonsai tree, looming over the dry desert sands.

I climb up in it, my claws leaving lasting marks on the ancient wood.

"Finally the seer gives me a visit!"

Eheh!

Rafiki appears out of nowhere, his stick in hand and just his usual babbon self.

"I am not a seer," I say, sticking out my chest.

"That is what you 'tink!"

I roll my eyes, as Rafiki walks around me, taking in my full length.

"You grow more beautiful every day! Just like you mother!" he smiles.

"So, why do you visit olde Rafiki!?" he pauses momentarily. "As you would like to know your powers I see!"

I gasp at this, how does he know about my horrible dreams, my glimpses of the future and sudden urges to do certain things: like how I pushed over Granma Nala after i saw her with that monkey.

"You are very special S-wala," he always says my name like this. "You can save the pride, from men." He puts emphasis on the word men and it makes me shudder unexpectantly.

"'Dey are a great risk to your brother Kuua's rule."

I furrow my brow, "What?"

Yet Rafiki disappears ito the leaves of his tree once again. I sigh, then get ready to go home.

When I step out of the tree, I'm surprised to see it's already really late - Mummy and Daddy will be looking for me.

I start running back to Pride Rock, sure of punishment when I see my parents.

When I'm still about half a mile from home, I hear Daddy's voice above me.

I look up, and he's standing beside me. Surprisingly, he's smiling at me when he leans down to pick me up. I lie down and let him take me by the scruff, it's better than having to walk home.

As we enter the cave, Daddy ushers me to where Mommy's fast asleep, Kuua and Kuishi  snuggled up against her ; I join them, being careful I don't wake my brothers, or Mummy.
