Within months we'd  traveled to Spira and I now resided in the Guadosalam manor. Today I was going to choose my wedding dress. Lily had brought her cousin Carmen, her sister Violet, and her friend Yoko to help me find the perfect gown. I wanted something simple but beautiful, easy to move around in it ,and didn't look trashy. It WAS a temple wedding after all, and I didn't want the people of Spira to think that one of their Maesters married a slut.

One of the seamstresses performed a prayer and said,"See anything you like Lady Eve? Congratulations on your impending marriage to Maester Seymour by the way." I giggled. Everywhere I went that was all I heard anyone talk about-although I couldn't really blame them. A Maester of Yevon was a VIP, and it must be a very BIG deal if one of them gets married.

"Thank you," I said as I browsed through the myriad dresses. There were so many beautiful gowns it was difficult to choose. Yoko brought out a pretty white and red kimono. "What do you think?" she softly asked. I shook my head "Thank you Yoko, but it's not my style," I replied,"Thank you for your effort though. It's very pretty, but it's not me."

Carmen brought out a short dress that would better suit a nightclub rather than a temple wedding."Ay, this one is muy caliente!" I took a look before I said," Gracias Carmen, but I'm looking for a dress that would be more...church appropriate."

Lily looked at it and said,"Yeah, that's DEFINITELY not appropriate for a wedding in a temple." I put the dress back and continued to look for that elusive perfect gown. Violet showed me a dress with poofy sleeves and a gigantic hoop skirt. She had me try it on. "Oh my heavens you look so precious!" she said. I looked in the mirror. I hated those poofy mutton sleeves and it was uncomfortable to move around in. I sighed as Lily helped me put the dress back. "That dress looks like something Marie Antoinette would wear," I said," Definitely not me."

I was ready to give up-until I saw it! It was a beautiful pristine white A Line gown, off the shoulder. I tried it on. I easily moved around with absolutely no discomfort, and the fabric felt soft to the point of being ethereal and angelic. "This is definitely my gown," I said as I happily paid double for it,thanking the seamstress for the wondrous masterpiece that was the gown.

I only hoped Seymour would love how I looked wearing it...
