Clem and Violet are both in their late 20's. They have a little girl named Ellie which they adopted. She is 4. There's really all the context you need beforehand.
Clem and Violet were cleaning out their garage, wanting to clear up some space.
"Oh my god Clem come over here." Violet said as Clem walked over, holding Lexi in her arms. She was lifting the girl in the air, making her think she was flying.
"Mommy mommy I'm flying!" The little girl said during her fits of giggles.
"Yeah you are. You're mommy's little superhero aren't you?" Clem said pulling her back down and kissing her forehead repeatedly, getting more giggles out of the child.
"Yes babe?" Clem said.
"I found some old stuff. I've not looked through this box in forever. Look, it's our senior yearbook." Violet said as she pulled it out the box. She blew off the dust on it and opened it. She flipped through the pages and found their senior photos.
"Clem look how beautiful you are in that dress." Violet said, trying not to get emotional.
"Hey, you don't look too shabby yourself Vi." Clem said. Violet had worn this black suit with a black undershirt and a purple bowtie that Clem had picked out.
"I doubt I could fit in that dress anymore." Clem said.
"Are you kidding? You're still the same, beautiful woman I fell in love with all those years ago." Violet said as she leaned over and pecked Clem on the lips.
"No! Mommy's lovings are mine!" The little girl yelled as she buried her face into Clem's neck.
"No you and Mommy have to share." Clem said.
"Clem look at this too." Violet said as she pulled out a picture of the two on their first date. Clem had her arm around Violet's neck, Violet leaning over and kissing Clem on the cheek.
"Yeah this was our first date. You wanted a picture of us to frame in your room on the nightstand next to your bed." Clem said as she stared at the photo.
"We were so young." Clem said as she started to get emotional.
"It's a night that I'll never forget." Clem said as she placed her hand on a pin with stars painted on them. She wore the pin right over her heart with pride.
"Clem, I found something else." Violet said as she pulled out a scrapbook that the two worked on for a bit in the past.
"God I remember this. We didn't have time to work on it after we got Lexi so we put it to the side." They flip through the pages, reminiscing on every memory until they get to the one that's most important to them. Their wedding photo. The photo showed Vi and Clem at the altar. The look in their eyes showed true happiness. Violet actually began to tear up at the sight of it. Clem immediately noticed as Violet began to get up and hug Clem and Lexi.
"This was the happiest moment of my life. Being able to call you my wife, being able to wake up next to your beautiful self, and getting to lay in bed after a hard days work and see you waiting for me is the things that has kept me going. Now that we have Lexi, everything is even better. Harder yes, but nothing I wouldn't want to do with you." Violet said as Clem wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Violet, I knew from the moment I met you that you were special...and I was more than right. Look at you, look at us. Everything is, perfect. I have the love of my life next to me, with our beautiful little girl beside us. We have the bestest friends in the world, and I wouldn't trade any of it away, not even for a million dollars. Violet, I love you and Lexi more than anything in this world." Clem said as the three of them joined together in a group hug. Lexi laid her head on Violet's chest, which caught her off guard. Lexi was all over Clem most of the time, mostly because Clem was the one who took care of her more. Violet did what she could, but would always act awkward around the child. She began to cry again as she took the small girl into her arms and cried onto Lexi's shoulder.
"It's ok Mommy." Lexi said as Violet began to cry even more. It wasn't tears of sadness, but peak happiness.
"I love you Lex, don't ever think any different." Violet said.
"I love you back Mommy." Lexi said as Clem joined back into the hug.
"Let's go out to the park. We can have a picnic with Lexi. She's never been on one so she might find it fun." Clem propositioned.
"Pic...nic?" Lexi asked, not knowing if she spelled it right.
"Yes Lexi that's right. We're all gonna go out to the park and enjoy a nice, relaxing day." Clem said. Violet chuckled at the overall silliness of that statement. Yeah they had to be more mature now that they were moms, but Violet was still the same Violet deep down. She had to change her attitude a little bit for Lexi's sake, but when it was just her and Clem, it was full-on Violet mode.
"I'll load a basket up with food other picnic-esque items. You get the blanket and head to car and get Lexi buckled in." Clem said and Violet kissed Clem. She held it there for a few seconds, wanting to take in the moment as long as she could before Lexi began covering her eyes.
"Ewww gross." Lexi said as she buried her face into Violet's shoulder once more.
"Sounds like a plan." Violet said as she carried the girl to the car. She sat Lexi down and put on the little girl's seatbelt for her. She took this opportunity to lean forward and kiss the child on her forehead. She closed the car door and went to grab the blanket from the laundry room. She ran back and got in the passenger seat in the car.
"Mommy?" Lexi asked.
"Yes sweetie?" Violet asked.
"Why were you crying back there? Were you sad?" Lexi asked, getting a smile out of the blonde.
"No Lexi. Sometimes if you're really happy, it can also cause you to cry. That's what it was." Violet said.
"So you were happy about me and Mommy being here?" Lexi asked.
"More than the two of you could ever realize." Violet said as Clem walked into the garage holding a basket. She opens the driver door and sets the basket down between her and Violet.
"Ready everyone?" Clem asked.
"Ready!" Lexi yelled from the back seat. Clem and Violet smile until Clem looks at Violet.
"Babe, you ready?" Clem asked.
"Yes, yes I am." Violet asked as they pulled out of the garage and onto the street. They drive away, ready to enjoy this fantastic day.
