Look At Me

Holy shit it's been a long time since I last updated this. Well, I don't think I should waste any time so let's get this rolling.

"Clementine!? Help me with something will you!?" Violet yelled from the music room.

"Ugh, what's going on?" Clementine asked as she and AJ entered the room.

"I need help pushing this piano out of the way. With Louis being gone, I don't think we'll be using it hardly anymore." Violet said as Clementine stood beside her and helped push it. Clementine looked at an unsuspecting Violet and inspected the bandage covering her eye. She remembered that day a few weeks ago when the Raider's boat exploded, causing the nasty injury to her face.

"Are...you still mad at me for what happened at the boat?" Clementine asked.

"Mad? No. Fucking pissed? Absolutely." Violet said.

"Oh come on Violet. I tried to save you. We came for you and this is how you respond!?" Clementine angrily asked.

"Look, you don't have to like me. I don't have to like you. You're lucky you're even allowed to still live here. Especially after what happened to Louis. You totally blew me off to spend time with your new little boyfriend the night the raiders attacked, then you saved him instead of me. I'm glad you did save him, but god Clementine, I genuinely cared about you which is something that I have a hard time doing nowadays. Then all I could feel was betrayal and my depression came back and all I wanted to do was just disappear. So please, after we move this thing, I would prefer we keep our distance from each other unless it's absolutely necessary otherwise." Violet said.

"Violet...me and Louis were never a thing. I hung out with him because I wanted a night to relax before the raiders came. What's wrong about that?" Clementine asked.

"Just...stop talking and let's move this thing." Violet said. Clementine went to say something else but she decided otherwise as it appeared that Violet was in no mood to speak. They finally pushed the piano as far into the corner as they could and before either one of them could speak, Violet had hurried through the door.

"Clem...how is that new leg treating you? Willy wanted me to ask." AJ said.

"It works fine kiddo. It's a little weird trying to get used to, but with time, I may get to go hunting or fishing with you guys." Clementine said.

"That would be cool. Almost like that time we went fishing with Violet and Brody. We should see if Violet wants to go." AJ said as he turned around and headed for the door, presumably to catch up to Violet.

"Whoa kiddo. Hold on a minute. That might not be the best idea." Clementine said.

"Why not?" AJ asked.

"Because...me and Violet aren't getting along right now. It's complicated and I seriously don't want to cause her anymore trauma." Clementine said.

"Kind of like how I don't want people walking up behind me because of my trauma." AJ said.

"Yes exactly. Now run along kiddo. I need to talk to the others for a bit. See if we can get a new system rolling with the safe zones." Clementine said.

"Okay. Maybe I can see if Tenn would like to draw a picture with me." AJ said as he ran through the door he came in from. Clementine looked around at the music room and was immediately brought back to that party they threw the night they saved Violet, Aasim and Omar from the raiders. Times were tough, but no one had died because of her. Now, Louis was gone because of her. She tried to hold back her emotions but was starting to crack. She hurried out of the room and headed outside to avoid those memories.
