Against the Gods is one of the earliest webnovel I read. It was really interesting, even though I somehow got disconnected [DC] around the time Yun Che came back from the Fire Crow kingdom and fighting for the girl's only sect and so on, where he impersonate an ancient OP elder bla bla bla.
Anyway about the quotes, in the wuxia/jianghu settings, or fiction setting, I agree with Little Fairy. The MC may have further plan or scheme in the future by pardoning evil, but we as a reader can only see and judge what was presented before us.
