Why I collected even this?
First, why would Buddha need gold plate in the first place? Gold is the symbol of worldly affairs, of the materialistic part of life. Shouldn't Buddha be more humble?
And this just explain it. Men need good clothing. That is all.
While in practice I don't care much about clothing, in reality it really say something about the wearer. You are what you wear is not far from the truth either.
