“Great, traffic,” Jinx sighed, stopping the car.
“We have to turn back,” Varis added, “there are zombies on the bridge.”
Everyone was forced to get out of the truck and go back into town. At the start they walked, but soon increase their pace when the deafening sound of screaming came from behind them.
“Hey Iris,” Jinx began, “Do you have any information about stopping the apocalypse yet?”
“Hold on… I think there is something…” Iris replied, scanning the pages, “There’s an antidote, to cure the zombies.”
“What? Really?” Toby interjected.
They kept running, faster than their legs could control. Iris tripped over a zombie and fell onto the concrete floor.
“Are you okay?” Jinx asked, lending her a hand.
Iris nodded her head, but soon realised that her glasses had been shattered onto the ground.
“What are we gonna do?” Toby stammered, “All the glasses shops are definitely closed.”
Jinx had to help Iris by holding her hand and guiding her, to make sure that she didn’t bump into anything.
“Guys,” Iris stated, “We can’t continue like this, please, just leave me behind.”
“What are you saying?!” Jinx yelled, “No way! I’ll never leave you behind!”
They were interrupted by the loud sound of a plane flying above them.
