“It’s the rescue plane!” Toby exclaimed, waving his hands in the air.
“Just drop me off on the plane, they can take care of me there,” Iris considered.
“Are you sure?” Jinx answered.
Iris nodded again and they walked her to the place where the plane had stopped.
“Oh, wait,” Iris began, “take this.” She threw the zombie apocalypse book to Jinx, “Apparently the antidote is hidden in a creek.”
Jinx and Toby waved at her as Iris flew up into the sky. The plane whizzed off and searched for more survivors.
“Now,” Jinx announced, “We search for the antidote.”
They flipped through the book again. The book read that the antidote was in fact in a lake, as Iris had said. The friends talked for a while, and eventually thought of a plan.
“Okay, the antidote is hidden in the Mysette Creek, not far from our city,” Jinx explained, “We hire a helicopter to get there. After we find the antidote, we’ll ask scientists to make more of the antidote and then stop the apocalypse.”
Later that day, the group found an old friend, who was still working at their engineering store.
“Mark? You’re still here?!” Jinx said in shock, “Shouldn’t you be running away?”
“Runnin’ away is not what I do,” Mark responded, “I have work to finish.”
Jinx rolled her eyes. “Can we borrow a helicopter of yours?”
“Sure, 1300 apins, the heli’s out the back,” Mark answered, still working on his machine.
Jinx flipped the coins and notes onto his table and walked away.
“I suggest that you run away before it’s too late,” Jinx continued.
“Run? Why? You’re plannin’ to stop the apocalypse, aren’t ya?” Mark grinned like a Cheshire cat.
Jinx gave him a smirk, “you know me too well.”
