Help! Help Me! Chapter 9

I kick Justin in the shins and he yells. I punch Valarie in the nose and she screams. Thanks to Valarie, we live by ourselves out by the woods. No one can help me now. It's all me. I run out the back door and towards a small neighbor hood. I run and scream. My side hurts bad, but I can't think about that right now. " Help! Help me! Please! They're going to kill me! Help! " I yell as loud as I can. A cat comes out from behind a trash can and hides again. A child looks out a window, but is quickly pulled back behind the curtains. No one comes out to help me. 

" Get over here you worthless child! You deserve this! Your dead. No one will help an unwanted orphan like you! " Yells Valarie from somewhere behind me. Good luck running in heels. 

Justin grabs me. He pulls  my hair that's blocking my sight. " Bye Bye. " He says chuckling. Just then some thing attacks him. I don't stick around long. Whatever attacked him is Big. Dark. And Furry? Is it a dog? I look over my shoulder to hear Valarie scream. The thing attacks her. The last thing I hear before I go into the woods is " I'll get you Madison Mason! " 

I shudder. I suddenly feel tired. No! I have to keep running. I have to go to the Cullen's they'll protect me. I run for what seems like forever. My lungs are burning. My legs hurt. My side feels like it's about to burst. I'm bloody. I'm cold. I'm scared. 

I see a light up ahead. A house! The house! The Cullen's home. 

" Just a little while longer Madison! Just a little longer. " I say to myself as I push myself to go faster. I'm almost to the door. Almost there. I pant as I slam into the door. I bang on the door with my fist. I hear running. The door opens. Carlisle looks at me and his eyes widen. Rose yells something, but I can't hear. Her voice is muffled. Carlisle yells and reaches out to me. Then I black out.
