chapter 17

Abby talking
After me and keirston get back to the house i give all the kids a bath and put them in bed. Then i go into the living room and decide to watch some tv. When the tv turns on i see a news i see the newswoman along with a picture of my dad with the words manhunt underway. I decide then that i didn't want to watch tv anymore.
I look at my phone and see that i missed a call from Ryan i call him back and he answers. I let cody and autumn talk to him i also let ryan talk to the twins. After he gets off the phone i send all the kids except levi and liam to bed i keep them up because if they go to bed really early they will be up even earlier.

Keirston talking
Im laying in bed next to Tanner who is asleep. She is gonna be a year old next month. Ryan and zach should be coming home in a few days i am so ready to have zach back, ive missed him so much. Abby hired a nanny to help with the kids while her and i are at work by work i mean getting stuff ready for the grand opening of the day care. Today we do interviews to see who the best candidate would be best to work with the kids as well as run the front desk.

K lets go one of the people who applied asked if she could come a hour early and i told her yes. I call out for keirston who is changing Tanners diaper. I decide to leave the older kids with the nanny which they were perfectly fine with because they love her. I grab levi and liam and get them in the car and hop in the driver's seat. A few minutes later keirston gets tanner in and hops in the passenger seat. We drive about 15 minutes to the day care. Once we get there the girl who applied for the teachers assistant position comes out of her car and greets us.

This is Sophie Dallas. The new teachers assistant.

Hi im sophie you must be Abby i say shaking her hand. Yes i an and this is Keirston Nuvy my business partner and best friend Abby says Its a pleasure to meet you both. I reply. I see abby in the jeep getting what sounds like children out of the car. Whos this i ask with a smile on my face.

Keirston talking
These are my nephews liam and levi. I say picking liam up in my arms. We walk inside and show her around.  After about an hour of talking i get a call from Zach he tells me that he made a reservation for the restaurant. I tell abby and we leave. We meet the guys at the restaurant after we pick Autumn and cody from the house. We get to our table and our waiter gets our drink order wrong.

Um babe did you order whiskey straight? I ask her very confused. No i ordered a pina colada. She says. I grab our waiter and tell him that he got our drinks wrong. He tells me that he cant take the drinks back because we already took the glass. I told him that we only took the drinks because he handed them to us. I ask for the manager but he tells me that hes on break and cant come right now. Now im mad i stand up and demand that i talk to the manager. He finally came and told us that our meal was on the house. After we finished eating Ryan made sure we didn't have to pay for our meal so while he was doing that i took the kids to get in the car.

As we were walking to the car i see a man with his back to us thats when i realized he was breaking into my car. I stopped the kids from going any further then shouted HEY! startled the man looked at me and started to come towards us. I reached into my wife's purse and grabbed the pepper spray and waited until he got closer then i sprayed him in the eyes and ran to the car to see that he had gotten into it. The car was trashed i couldn't even get the kids in their carseats because there was glass all over them. Ryan called the police but it didnt do much since the guy got away. All they could do was make a report.
