chapter 27: telling the truth

I've invited Tatum and Lukas over for breakfast this morning I've also invited bro Caleb so that Tatum has no other choice but to tell brother Caleb about the baby. I know Tatum is probably gonna hate me for this afterwards but she needs to come clean to our beloved youth pastor.

I pull out the breakfast casserole out of the oven right as the doorbell rings. Ryan answers the door and i soon hear brother Caleb's voice along with the boys and ambers. I walk out of the kitchen to where they are and say hello. Cody comes out and says hi to the boys soon they take off to go play in the play room. Autumn is in the living room with her headphones in listening to music and playing a game on her tablet. She is almost 12 and brother Caleb is gonna let her join the youth group early just like he let me when i was her age. The adults go in the kitchen to get coffee. As i walk in the kitchen my phone buzzes and I see that tatum texted me saying she might be a little late.

Who else is coming brother Caleb asks me. Keirston and Tatum I say. Oh ok. I hand brother Caleb his coffee and ask him if he wants creamer he says yes as expected. Mrs Amber tells me that when Autumn comes to youth group that she wants to take her through discipleship. I tell her of course the thought of my daughter doing discipleship with the same person that i went through it with made me so happy. Soon tatum and Lucas get here. I hear her come in Lucas comes and says hi as he sets the box of doughnuts on the counter i made sure that there were a few long Johns for brother Caleb beings those were his favorite.

Tatum finally comes in holding the baby i think brother Caleb quickly figured out that the baby was hers. He doesn't seem mad maybe just surprised? Is that your little one Tatum? He asks her. Yes it is she replied. His name is Isaac. Would you like to hold him she asks. Sure he says. Lucas walks out of the bathroom and sees him holding the baby. Caleb looks at the baby then at Tatum and Lukas then clears his throat. Who's the father Tatum? He asks. Your looking at him sir. Lukas says. But you guys aren't married are you? He asks. No but we will be in a month or 2. Tatum says.

I went to use the restroom and check on the boys to make sure they are being good. I walk into the kitchen amd see caleb holding a baby. I then look around to see tatum getting a bottle ready. Caleb asks me if i want to hold the baby. I say yes then Tatum turns and sees me she give me a hug and i ask who the baby that im holding belongs to she smiles and says that he is hers. Lukas walks in and I put all the pieces together. It was Tatum and lukas's baby. The baby looks almost exactly like Lukas. I ask how old he is and she tells me that hes only a few weeks old.
