Fairy tales do come true

Today was the day where Izumi Midoryia took her entrance exam for the best hero school in all of Japan UA high.  She packed everything that she would need for the exam. She had breakfast with her family, and the Bakugo's came over as well so that both Izumi and Katsuki could go to the exams.

As Izumi and Katsuki got to UA, Izumi she became nervous until Katsuki made a small explosion in her face. "Calm down, you're going to make it right behind me  like you always do got it nerd." Katsuki said as he left ahead of her. "Wow, he's a jerk." A voice said behind her. To see a burnett with a bob haircut, brown eye, and a permanent blush on her cheeks. "Ya, he does that a lot, but that just who he is, really." Izumi said, looking back at the girl as the wind blowing past them. The flowers in Izumi's hair started to fall, and pollen was everywhere, making her sneeze. "Here you look like you need this." The kind girl said, handing her a handkerchief. "Thank you." Izumi said, taking the handkerchief. "Well, I better be going." The burnette said, running to the school. "Shoot, I better get a move on to." Izumi said, looking at the time.

The written exam went pretty well if Izumi had said better than what she thought it would be. Next came the hero exam to the students who wanted to be in the hero program. Izumi was really nervous about this part of the test. Even with the best teacher ever and support, this means she's in or out, no backups, just this. Izumi was looking around when she saw a familiar face of the kind girl who lent her handkerchief. 'It's the nice girl who lent me her handkerchief. Maybe I should give it back and introduce myself properly." Just as she was about to move closer, a hand pulled her back. Izumi almost thought it was Katsuki, but it was it. It was that serious boy with glasses who asked a question when they were explaining the exam. "You're not going to ruin her chances, are you." He asked in a serious voice. "N-no?" Izumi said nervously as people around them look at them, thinking that she won't make it with the way she look and stander. With flowers and petals in her long hair pulled into a low twintail hairstyle, she small petite figure and vies wrapped around her arms made her look fragile along with her mannerism. "She looks like she's trying to focus best not to disturb her." He said, embarrassing Izumi, then she already feels. "S-sorry!" Izumi said as Present Mic spoke.

Everyone just ran in and started to attack the point robots, because the guy with glasses made her lose focus she was running late and missing the points. 'I have to get points somehow?' Izumi thought as she ran, catching up with everyone. Izumi saw a girl tripping over debris and was about to hit a trashed robot. Izumi called nature to her aid and stopped the girl from falling. "Are you alright?" Izumi asked, letting her down . She didn't get a thanks but a lash out. "Ya, I would have saved myself now. You're wasting my time." The girl then ran again. Izumi then tried her best to get points, but she only got one two pointer and three one pointers before the zero pointer showed up. It was massive everywhere people ran, trip, hid, and ran over. Izumi just started a look of fear on her face. Then she heard it a cry for help. It was the nice girl that's she been trying to give back her handkerchief. She was stuck trying to get out. Izumi didn't think, time slowdown as she ran. Lifting her hands, veins came out and into the zero pointer.

One second, it was a new shiny robot , and it looked like a ruin taken back by nature, having nature over, under, and inside of the robot, breaking it slowly and permanently. Izumi turned and helped the burnette with her ankle. She fell to see a sheet of metal falling until explosions were heard. "Kaachan?" Izumi said with surprise. "Look at your surroundings, next time, Nerd." Katsuki said, turning around to face her with a dull face. "Ya." Was all Izumi said as she felt the girl next to throw up.

Three days later

Izumi was having dinner with Inko and Natsu. Inko looks at her daughter, who has a weird look on her face looking back at the fish. "Izumi, Izumi?" Inko tried to get her daughter attention. Izumi snapped out of her trance to see the concern look on her mother's face. "You ok? You're just staring at your dinner?" Inko asked, whipping away the crumbs from three year old Natsu. "I'm fine, just not hungry as I thought I was." She said, putting the fish down and walking to her room. Her room, much to peoples surprise, was filled with a mixture of stuff. Hero figures, fairy tale books, beautiful planets hanging from the ceiling. 

'I didn't make it. I know it. Guess plan b will be in order, maybe I'll still get to go to school there. They have an amazing general studies program. Maybe I'll be put into that if not the hero program.' Izumi thought as she looked around her room. Taking in all her hero figures from her bronze age All Might to her newest Mt. Lady. Looking at the fairytale books that she collected over the years with her grandmother. Laying  on her bed, looking up to all the plants that grown from devil's Ivy to maidenhair ferns.

As Izumi was thinking about her test results, there was a knock on her door showing her mother and an envelope. "Izumi, your test results are here." Inko said, nervous and excited, handing it to Izumi. Izumi took it as her mother closed the door to give her some privacy. She set it on her desk, just looking at it for a long time. She couldn't take it anymore she just ripped it up. Out came a disc, which was a hologram showing All Might, she made it.

Dagobah Municipal Beach Park

Toshinori looked out to the ocean of the beach that he, his daughter, and young Bakugo clean up last year. He was reflecting on how he ended up here, having a wonderful family, being the number one hero and now a teacher. He found a successor for one for all. He was going to give it to Izumi, but she turned him down, saying, 'I can't do that. It has a tradition to move from one person to another, not by family but by their heart. I'm happy that you thought of me, but it's not meant for me.' He repeat in his head. He heard footsteps before he saw a flash of green tackling him to the ground.

Izumi asked her mom where Toshinori was, when she said the beach because he needed to think. Izumi ran all the way to the beach. "I-izumi?" Toshinori spit out blood from his mouth. "Thank you." Izumi said, not looking up at him. "It was all you. I was in there for the test, but you did all the work." Toshinori said, petting her head like he always does when she hugs him. Izumi shook her head. "Not that, for being there for me, for believe in me when people didn't." Izumi said as tears came out.

The only people that ever believe in Izumi to become a hero were Toshinori, Inko, and the Bakugo. Everyone else all thought that she was too fragile to be a hero and just stay away from that line of work. Classmates, teachers, and principal all tried to talk her out of it. It was the reason why she was bullied a lot. Girls in junior high were breaking everything she owned, spreading rumors, and just thinking they were better than her. Boys didn't help eather, Bakugo helped when he could. They even went so far as to tag her window when she came home from school. That was the only time Izumi ever saw Toshinori mad, not the "I'm disappointed in you mad but the 'I'm Endeavor' mad. Let's just say everyone knows from that day forward to let her be.

"I'll always be there. Now more than ever since I'm working as a teacher." Toshinori said, becoming All Might lifting Izumi up and on his shoulders. "Ya, and when were you going to tell mom and I?" Izumi said, making a flower crown of blue, red, white, and yellow, then placed it on All Might's head. "They called me wanting to know if I would like a teaching job. They thought I would find a successor for one for all there." All Might said, walking with Izumi on his shoulder. "Did you?" Izumi asked, looking up at the nighttime sky. "Yes and No." All Might admitted. "Which is it?" Izumi said, looking back at All Might. "Yes, I found a successor, and no, I didn't give it to him." All Might said," Continue to walk. "Why not?" Izumi asked, tilling her head to the side. All Might look up at her, pick her up, then put her down on a rock so they are eye to eye. "I still have hope that you will take it." All Might said. "Dad, it would not be fair to give it to me." Izumi said, letting her selfless nature come out.

One thing that all might dose not like is his stepdaughter's selflessness. It's good to be selfless, but not to the point where it you can't sand up for herself. "You're too selfless. You need more of a backbone if you want to be a hero." All Might said, turning to head home. Izumi fallowed and ran with him. "You think I should be more selfish." Izumi asked, keeping up the All Might. "No, be more assertive in your actions." All Might said, not looking at her. Izumi gave a wordless answer, but they spoke up. "Right." Izumi said.
