Chapt 1: Unwanted

Your Pov. 

You woke up early in the morning in your makeshift home. All you have to sleep on his a cardboard box. You sit up and rubbed your eyes. Then you walked out of the alleyway with many signs in front of it. Why? You asked because people want to warn that a monster lives here. You walked to Inkopolis square as you see inklings and octolings walking around. As walked towards your favourite cafe, everyone starts to clear out of your way, They knew what you look like with your gear and that obvious white ink hair. As you walked in everyone stopped talking and looked at you with fear. Everyone that was in line backed away from the counter for you to get your usual. You walked to the counter with a scared behind it. 

"U-um... Here's your coffee" The inkling quickly placed on the counter. You grabbed your coffee and went to your table. Your table was set beside the window, no one ever sat their since they know what you're going to do if they ever did.  He sat at your table looking out the window. 

'Go fuck yourself' 

'why do you even exist' 

'you own your own buddy' 

You shook your head remembering what people think of you back in the day. Although you still think you're a weakling. You try to be the strongest inkling by letting everyone fear you, but it just feels so empty. Why? what do I need to not feel this way? I need to figure this shit out.  

Third person. 

A short Inkling and an Octoling are staring at the 'White Death'. They always knew that he's a dangerous inkling. Everyone in Inkopolis warns new inkling or octoling in inkopolis. They always saw him walking around the square with everyone trying to stay away from him or handing him money when he demands it. But the one thing they intrested about it the large scar going through his eye. 

"He seems pretty lonely," The octoling said. 

"Maybe I can speak to him" She starts to get off her chair but the short inkling pulled her back. 

"Oh hell no!!!" The short inkling shouted.  

"He's going to kill you, Marina! Remember? We always tell on the news to stay away from him!" she told her. 

"Don't worry Pearlie, I'll be fine?" She told her. Pearl loosen her grip and sighs. 

"If he does anything to you I'll kill him ok?" Pearl told her with a bit of anger in her voice. Marina starts to walk towards the 'White Death'. When she is halfway their everyone starts to look at her and seeing her start to walk up to him. No one knows that Marina is walking up to them due to her disguise (Pearl is also wearing her disguise).   

"What is she doing?" a random inkling asked another inkling. Everyone starts to mumble about this random octoling going towards the white death. As she walked up to his table the inkling turns his head towards her giving her an unemotional look. 

"What do you want?" you asked. You raise an eyebrow because you see her shaking a little. 

"Um... is-is this s-seat taken?" She asked nervously. 

"No?" You told her wondering what's she is doing. 

"C-can I s-sit?" She asked kindly. Everyone gasps of asking the white death to sit on his table. Pearl ready her dualies just incased he starts to attack her best friend. 

"Sure, if you want to," you told her looking back at the window. Everyone was shocked about this. He never wanted anyone to sit on or near him. Pearl was also shocked but still ready her dualies if this was a trick. Marina sat at the opposite ends of the table and looked at you while you looked out the window thinking why you felt so empty. Marina just keeps staring at him. His gear and hair make him look pretty edgy but attractable at the same time. She was afraid to ask him questions of why he's like this and how did he get that scar. But she knows that if she asks anything she may die. She thought she should ask small. 

"Do you have a name?" She asked. You turned you head to face her and see her nerviest asking that question.  

"No, I never had," You told her. She was saddened of hearing this. 

"Why is that? Did your parents ever gave you a name?" She asked. 

"No, they never cared for me" She was heartbroken of hearing him say that. 

"Oh, I'm so sorry," She told you. You just shake your head. 

"Don't, I'll only get you weaker," You told her. You start to stand back up and leave the cafe. But before you did that you whisper into her ear. 

"Next time Marina, where a better disguise I rather not kill you in public my friend. But I give you a pass, ok? I'll be there at night," You told her and left the cafe. Marina was shaken by this and froze. Pearl then ran up to Marina to check on her. 

"Marina you ok? What did he say to you?" She asks her. Marina turns to her. 

"Pearl, he sees through my disguise a-and I thi-think he's going to kill me,"  Marina told her shaking and thinking of her death. Pearl hugged her to comfort her. Marina starts to cry in her shoulder. 

"It's ok Marina, we will protect you," She told her will patting her back. Everyone saw this and knew she's going to die tonight.  

Your Pov. 

You on a building looking at the sunset as everyone in inkopolis starts to go home. But you? You have a target. Marina, you were going to kill her. No, you only treated her to find the Squid Platoon. You knew about them and how they bring back the Zap Fish two times already. And also knew that Off The Hook was part of the Squid Platoon. 

As the night took over, you jumped down and see Pearl and Marina walking towards the sewage pipe. They start to look around for you but didn't see you hiding behind the food truck. 

"Are you sure they willing to protect me?" Marina ask Pearl 

"Yes, we will defend you even it will kill us," Pearl responded as they went into the sewage pipe. 

"So that's where they're going," You told yourself.  You start to walk up to the sewage pipe but stop.

"WHY AM I DOING THIS!!!" You shouted at yourself. You are no hero but a monster. You don't know why you willing to join them. But it's just your instincts, maybe they can help you. But you strong on your own. You don't need anyone but yourself. DONT TRUST ANYONE. 

Your hair starts to turn black. You knew that it went out of control you will kill anyone if you just see them. It wasn't the first time but many inklings and octolings went missing. You weren't going through that again. You manage to calm down and went into the sewage pipe.
