June's PoV

I slammed the car trunk, yet it popped up again. I've only been trying to get it down for 30 minutes. I moved another chair yet again, and tried. Yet, it popped up again. Julian came behind me, and tickled my ribcage lightly.

"I'm not ticklish." I reminded him. He smiled, and grabbed my waist gently.

"Mmh, yeah?" He asked me. I nodded, smiling.

"Can you help me close this? It's so annoying and we should be on the road already.." I reminded him.

"See, you just need to put a little..." Julian said, grabbing the trunk door and slamming it into place. The door stayed.

"A little arm grease into it, y'know?" Julian said, smiling at me. I laughed lightly.

"Will do. Thank you." I chuckled, getting into the front seat. Julian hopped into the passenger seat, and I pulled out of the driveway.

"You think they'll miss us?" Julian asked me curiously.

"We'll only be gone for like a week."

"A week is a long time. What if Fab gets hungry?" Julian asked me with mock-worry. I smirked.

"The others can feed him." I murmured, as Julian put his legs up.

"I'll miss him..." Julian said, matter of factly. I grinned. He seemed serious.

"Aw, poor baby..." I cooed, running a free hand through his hair.

I drove onto the highway, focusing on the road. Julian seemed bored, bopping his head to the radio that was quietly playing.

"Hey June Bug."

"What?"

"I spy something blue." Julian said, cupping his hand around his eye like a telescope and looking out the window.

I made a turn onto a long, winding road with a huge field. Julian looked more animated as he rolled down the window and looked out through his 'telescope'.

"The sky."

"Nope. Not even close."

"What else is blue out here?" I asked him, eyeing him.

"Guess. Come on." Julian pushed, nudging me with his elbow.

"I give up, Jules."

"The answer is that." Julian said, pointing to the small blue pine tree freshener hanging on the rear view mirror.

I shook my head.

"Your turn."

"I'm driving."

Julian pressed his face into my cheek.

"Please.."

"Okay..." I breathed.

"I spy something beautiful." I said.

Julian scoffed.

"Looking in the mirror doesn't count."

"Oh, stop. Just guess."

"Um...." Julian murmured, tapping his chin. He did that for about five minutes before i sighed loudly.

"Are you done yet?" I asked.

"The answer is life."

"What?"

"I don't fuckin' know, june."

"You." I answered. Julian guffawed.

"How was I supposed to get that?" Julian asked me as i turned onto the exit.
