January passed quickly after the incident with John, almost too quickly for my liking. I stayed away from him, ignoring all of his calls and keeping my promise to Karlie that I wouldn't let management force me into another fake relationship. I never told Paula what happened with John, if I did I would have to tell her everything and I'm not quite ready for that yet.

All of that aside, today is the day that we fly out to Australia for the first show of the tour this year. It means two weeks away from Karlie and two weeks on the road with my seven month old baby, and to say I'm nervous is an understatement. Violet was tiny when we first went on tour, but now she's drinking from sippy cups on her own and trying to crawl, but worst of all she recently started teething which means sleepless nights have become all too frequent again. More than that though, I'm nervous about getting her to adapt to a new time zone cause it's about to throw the schedule and routine we had right out of the window.

"Try not to stress too much, it's only two weeks," I close my eyes and sigh as I feel Karlie's lips against the skin of my shoulder. We've been together two months and I hate it when she goes on a shoot for two days, never mind halfway across the world for two whole weeks. "I'm going to miss you, and this," I sigh as she wraps her arms around my waist, I don't know how I'm going to last without feeling her skin against mine for so long. "We'll make it work, I'll call you and you call me and I'll see you the day you get back," I nod, I know we'll figure it out.

"Maybe I should just tell them that we're together, then I wouldn't have to hide you anymore," I turn to face her, this has been a recurring thought the last few weeks, "but are you ready for what that might bring, baby? You know your management and your family won't be happy, and I don't want it to force you into a situation where it's your career or me, that's not fair." I know she's right, Karlie's always right. "It was just a thought, I guess we'll just have to wait for better timing," I kiss her cheek and let go, "not now doesn't mean never, baby. I just want you to be in a safe position when it does come out."

I smile and nod, "I know, but all of this sneaking around sucks when I have to pretend you're just a friend and not my girlfriend," she sighs and rests her head on my shoulder, "but we know the truth and that's what matters." I'm going to be so lost without her, I honestly don't know how I'm going to cope.

"We're going to miss Karlie, aren't we, baby?" I pout as I pick up Violet, sitting her on my hip as I bounce, "I'm going to miss you guys just as much, but I'm still going to be here when you come home," she smiles at Violet and the baby holds her arms out to the model, so Karlie takes her. This is going to be a trying two weeks for sure and I have no idea how me or Violet are going to cope.

Karlie

"Are you ready, munchkin?" I smile at Violet as I buckle her into her car seat, Taylor and Violet are about to go over to the plane hanger to meet her team to leave, so I'm helping her get her stuff ready to go downstairs when the car gets here. "What is it, princess?" Violet cries as I clip her in and I frown, kneeling beside her and holding her hand, "I'm right here, sweetie," she holds her arms out to me and I sigh, she's been super fussy all morning and I feel bad about the fact Taylor's going to have to handle her being cranky for the next few days at least.

"Just take her out, we can get her in the seat when we're downstairs," Taylor shakes her head as she pulls a huge suitcase down the stairs. She's anxious about being in a whole other country with Violet for an extended period for the first time because until this point the furthest Violet has been outside of the United States is England which isn't anywhere near as far as Australia. "Come here, sweetpea," I kiss Violet's cheek as I lift her back into my arms and the baby calms as she clings onto me.
