Chapter 7: Drama?

7 weeks later

Betty and Jughead's house
*in the bedroom watching Friends*
Betty: "Chandler and Monica's wedding is so beautiful Juggie."
Jughead: "Yeah it is but that's funny Joey dressed up as a World War 1 soldier at the wedding."
Betty: "Their vows are so----" *runs to the bathroom and throws up*
*Jughead runs to her to hold her hair as she throws up*
Jughead: "Betts, did you eat something that could be causing you upset stomach?"
Betty: "No. I feel a lot better now."
*Jughead remembers something*
Jughead: "Betts, sorry if this sounds rude or uncomfortable hearing from me but did you get your period yet? I don't know if you get nauseous when you're on your period."
Betty: "Oh my god, no. It hasn't come in 3 weeks." *throws up again*
Jughead: "Do you want me to text Veronica to bring you a pregnancy test and some Pop's?"
Betty: "That would be great but if I am pregnant I want to surprise everybody."
Jughead: "Ok that's fine. I'll go to the store and buy you a test and get Pop's."
Betty: "Thank you Juggie. You're the best."

At the store
Jughead's mind: "Why are there so many pregnancy tests? They all do the same. Either positive or negative. Happy face or frowny face. Two lines or one line. Yes or no. Pregnant or not pregnant. Ugh why is this so hard? You know what let's just get the pregnant or not pregnant one."
*Receives text from Betty*
Betty: "Make sure you check the expiration date on the test before you buy it. Love you!
Jughead: "Will do. Love you too!"

Betty and Jughead's house
*Betty took the test and is waiting for the results*
Jughead: "Does it say anything yet?"
Betty: "Not yet. We have to wait a few minutes."

Few minutes later
*timer goes off*
Betty: "Juggie, it's time to check. Let's check it together."
Jughead: "Alright."
*sees the test*
Betty: "Oh my god, Juggie it's positive!"
Jughead: "We're having a baby?!"
Betty: "We're having a baby!"
Jughead: "Oh my god! *kisses her* I'm gonna be a dad!"
Betty: "I can't wait. Juggie, we're going to be parents."
Jughead: "We're growing up."
Betty: "That we are." *chuckles* "I'll call the doctor and book an appointment tomorrow."
*made the appointment for tomorrow*
Jughead: "How should we tell the others?"
Betty: "I was thinking that we go to the appointment tomorrow and then we call everyone to Pop's and tell them there and show them the ultrasound photos."
Jughead: "Sounds like a plan. I can't believe we are going to have a little baby wandering around the house."
Betty: "I can't wait to raise him or her with you."

Next day

Doctor's appointment
Receptionist: "Appointment for...?"
Betty: "Betty Jones."
Receptionist: "And he is...?" *points to Jughead*
Jughead: "The husband and father."
Receptionist: "Ok Mr. and Mrs. Jones the doctor will call you in a few minutes."
Nurse: "Betty Jones?"

Room
Nurse: "Alright Betty, I'm going to have you lay down and lift your shirt to the beginning of your belly in order to see the baby."
*Betty lifts her shirt*
Nurse: "The gel is going to be a little bit cold."
*hears the heartbeat for the first time*
Jughead: "Wh-what is that sound?"
Nurse: "That Mr. Jones is your baby's heartbeat."
*looks at Betty*
Jughead: "It's so fast, Betts."
Nurse: "And that right there is your baby. *points to the baby on the screen* You are 7 weeks along. We will see you in 6 weeks. I'll leave you two alone."
Jughead: "The baby is so tiny."
Betty: *tears up* I can't see it."
Jughead: "What do you mean?"
Betty: "I can't see the baby."
Jughead: "Betts, it's right here. *points onto the screen*
Betty: "Ohhh. Well that I saw. God Juggie, it's our little baby."
Jughead: "Want to go to Pop's to tell everyone?"
Betty: "Yes and I'm starving."

Pop's
*Veronica, Archie and their baby Fred are waiting for Betty and Jughead*
Betty: "Hey guys! Jug and I have big news to share."
Veronica: "You're not moving are you?"
Archie: "If you move, then who is going to help watch Freddie?"
Jughead: "Relax, we are not moving."
Veronica: "Then what's the news?"
Betty: "Well, Jug and I are having a baby!"
Veronica: "WHAT?! NO WAY! Oh B and Jughead, congratulations!"
Archie: "Congratulations you two!"
Betty: "Thank you guys!"
Veronica: "Ok B, when, where, and how far along are you?"
Betty: "I'm 7 weeks along. I'm not going to tell you when and where V."
Veronica: "I don't care just tell me."
Betty: "Jug should I tell her?"
Jughead: "Tell her and maybe it will make her learn not to ask in the future." *laughs at his own joke*
Betty: "Well, uh when Archie called us telling us that you were in labor, Jug and I were here at Pop's. We got to the car and started talking about trying to have a baby. When we decided that we should try, well um we drove as fast as possible to the bunker we all used in high school. We figured that you would be in labor for hours and so we thought 'why not take this to advantage and try?' So one thing led to another and now we're pregnant."
Veronica: "So you told us a little white lie?"
Jughead: "Yeah and we're sorry. But look you're going to have a little niece or nephew."
Archie: "Ronnie, don't be mad at them. At least they made it by the time he was born."
Veronica: "That's true and guys don't worry. I'm not mad. I'm actually really happy that Antonio is going to have a little cousin to play with."

Hey guys, it's me the author. This is my first fanfic I've written. Go and comment what you think. I've been thinking of adding some minor drama. Comment if you think I should. I have final exams this week until Friday so I'm going to try my very best to post everyday. Once it's Friday, I start summer break so I can write and post everyday. Again comment what you think of this au so far and if it should have some drama in it. I don't know what the voting here does so can someone explain what it means and does and vote I guess???
