Chapter 18: Ninth Month

Jug's pov
Well here we are on our last month. Juliet is very excited to meet her brothers and sisters and her new cousin. Betty and Veronica are due literally any day now. Archie suggested that he cooks dinner tonight so while he does that Betty and Veronica are in the dining room catching up. I'm with Juliet and Freddie in the living room watching Finding Nemo.

Jug: "Arch, is dinner ready yet? I'm starving."
Archie: "Relax dude your burgers are almost ready. Can you tell the Betty and Ronnie that it's almost ready please?"
Jug: "Yeah I'll tell them."

Dining Room
Jug: "Hey dinner is almost ready."
Betty: "Finally. I'm like about to eat 10 burgers I'm that hungry."
Veronica: "Me too."
Betty: "Juggie can I talk to you in our room for a few minutes?"
Jug: "Yeah, everything alright?"
Betty: "Everything's fine."

Bedroom
Jug: "What's up Betts?"
Betty: "Dance with me?" *smiles*
Jug: "You are too cute for words you know that?"
Betty: "Only when you tell me that."
*Jug turns on the CD player*
Jug: "Really Betts, our song from Heathers?"
Betty: "Yes. We haven't done this in a while and I thought it would be cute and romantic."
*after singing quietly and dancing*
Archie: *yelling* "DINNER'S READY!"
Betty: "Thank you Juggie for dancing with me."
Jug: "Anytime Betts. I'm here to dance all your dances with."

Kitchen
Betty: "Oh my god Archie! These burgers are amazing!"
Jug: "She's right. Since when did you know how to make good burgers?"
Archie: "When I worked with Pop one summer, he taught me how to cook."
Veronica: "Well you clearly learned from the best."

After dinner

Living room
Betty: "Kids go pick a movie and we can all watch."
Juliet and Freddie: "Ok!"
Freddie: "Auntie B, can we watch The Avengers?"
Everyone: "Ooohh yes let's watch it!"

15 minutes into the movie
Jug: *rubbing Betty's belly* "I can't wait for them to be here."
Betty: "Me too."
Jug: "Aww their kicking again."
Betty: "Maybe they are jealous that we are watch a good movie without them." *laughs*
Jug: "Maybe they are--"
Betty: "Jug!"
Jug: "What's wrong?!"
Betty: "My water just broke."
Jug: "Ok um JB is going to be here in 5 minutes. Archie Veronica can you watch Jules plz? JB is going to be here any minute then after that she can watch the kids and you can meet us at the hospital."
Archie: "Yeah dude go. Good luck Betty!"
Veronica: "Actually guys I'll go with you. Jug you drive I'll comfort her."
Jug: "Um alright I guess. Let's go!"

Car
Jug: "Betts how are you doing so far?"
Betty: "So far so good. No contractions yet."
Jug: "Ok we are going to be there in 20 minutes."
Betty: "Wait here comes one. Ooooooooooo."
Veronica and Jug: "Breathe in and out."
Veronica: "B just hold my hand when it comes ok?"
Betty: "Oooookk." *grabs her hand*
Veronica: "Oh my god now I know what you and Archie say when your hands hurts. Jesus I'm sorry."
Jug: "It's part of the deal of having kids so we knew what we were signing ourselves up."
Betty: "So far its not as bad compared to when I had Jules."

Hospital
Jug: "Ok Betts you are all checked in. They said it should be kind of quicker than last time since clearly these three kiddos aren't your firsts."
Betty: "I read that in the books and I'm glad it will be a bit quicker."
*knock on door*
Betty: "Come in!"
Archie: "Hey guys! JB came right when you left. She said she's going to watch movies with Freddie and Jules until they fall asleep so that shouldn't be long."
*Everyone laughs*
Veronica: "Ow my back hurts."
Betty: "You ok V?"
Veronica: "I should be fine it's just regular pregnancy back pain."
Archie: "You sure? I can go buy a heating pad or get medicine if you need it."
Veronica: "It's fine. It just went away."
Betty: "V, that doesn't sound like a regular back pain."
Jug: "She's right. Veronica you're in a hospital. You should go get checked."
Betty: "Oh god Jug! Hand please!" *contraction starts*
Jug: "It's ok. Just breathe in and out. It's almost over."
*Doctor Drake Ramoray comes in*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Betty would you like an epidural?"
Betty: "Yes please!"
Veronica: "Archie, get me checked in."
Archie: "Is it your back again?"
Veronica: "Sofia is coming."
Archie: "Lucky for you that we are in a hospital." *laughs*
*Archie and Veronica leave*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Ok Betty, I got the epidural. I have to injected it by needle from your back. Can you sit up for a minute please?"
*Betty sits up*
Jug: "Here hold my hands. It's a big needle and I know you'll squeeze the fluff out of the mattress so squeeze my hands."
Betty: "Ok."
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "I'm injecting the needle now."
Betty: "Oh my god!" *squeezes the life out of Jug's hands*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "And we are done. Betty you are 5 centimeters dilated."
Betty: *looks at Jug* "Halfway there."
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Your friends are in the room and we are short on ice chips so you can share with your friends."
Jug: "Ok thank you."

Hours later
Betty: "Jug the epidural is wearing off and I need ice chips."
Jug: "I'll run to Archie for some."
Betty: "Hurry!" *contraction starts*

Hallway
Jug: "Arch, we need a system about the ice chips."
Archie: "I'm assuming you have a plan."
Jug: " When Betty or Veronica needs ice chips, you yell for me and I do the same back."
Archie: "Ok. Here's some ice chips."
Jug: "Thanks. *runs back to Betty's room* Here Betts."
Betty: "Thank you. Oh my god it's good."
Archie: "Jug! Ice chips!"
Jug: "I'll be back. *runs to Archie* Here."
Archie: "Thanks."
*Jug runs back to Betty*
Betty: "Jug, hand please!" *contraction starts*
Jug: "Just breathe. You're doing amazing Betts."
Betty: "I need ice chips!" *middle of contraction*
Jug: "Archie! Ice chips!"
Archie: "Here!"

Half hour later
Hallway
Jug: "Ok we are almost out of ice chips."
Archie: "We gonna have to improv----"
Betty: "Jug!"
Veronica: "Archie!"
*Archie and Jug run back to Betty and Veronica*
Jug: "Betts? What's going on?"
Betty: "We are going to the delivery room."
Jug: "Oh my god. Jules is about to become a big sister." *smiles*
Betty: "She's going to be a great big sister. *smiles back*

Veronica's room
Archie: "Ronnie?"
Veronica: "Delivery room."
Archie: "Our little girl is about to be here."

Betty's delivery room
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Betty push on your next contraction."
Betty: "Ok."
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Jughead hold her leg and hand with one arm and with the other support her back."
Jug: "Ok."
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Contraction starts in 30 seconds. Push Betty push!"
Betty: "Oh god! *starts pushing*
Jug: "You're doing great Betts, keep going!"
Betty: "Jug, it hurts too much!"
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "I see the head. Keep pushing!"
Betty: *pushing then relaxes*
*baby cries*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Here's baby number 1."
Betty: "Which one is it Jug?"
Jug: "It's Ben."
Betty: "Jug, another contraction!"
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Push Betty!"
Betty: "Oooooohhhh god!" *pushes again*
Jug: "Betts, you're doing amazing! The second baby is almost here!"
*baby starts crying*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Here's baby number 2."
Jug: "It's Riley. She's here."
Betty: "One more baby." *pushes again*
Jug: "Keep going!"
Betty: "I'm so tired Juggie."
Jug: "Betts, do this for Ryan. He's almost here to meet all of us. Well, meeting Ben and Riley again. But you can do this!"
Betty: *pushes again* "Oh my god!" *relaxes*
*baby starts crying*
Doctor Drake Ramoray: "Here's baby number 3. Congratulations you two."
*Nurses hands them Ben, Riley and Ryan."
Betty: "Oh my god Jug. They are gorgeous."
Jug: "I can see that Ben and Ryan are twins. Ben and Ryan have your hair and my eyes."
Betty: "Riley has your hair and eyes, just like Jules."

Meanwhile in Veronica's delivery room
Archie: "Come on Ronnie, Sofia is almost here!"
Doctor Tribbiani: "Here she is."
*Sofia starts crying*
Veronica: "Oh my god!"
Archie: "Shes so beautiful. She looks just like you Ronnie."

Later
*Veronica knocks on Betty's door*
Veronica: "Hey B, Sofia wants to meet you."
Betty: "Oh my god V, she's beautiful."
Veronica: "Can I see my niece and nephews?"
Betty: "Yeah but Jug is feeding Ben since I just fed Riley and Ryan."
Veronica: "Oh my god B, they are gorgeous."
Jug: "Is that my niece?"
Veronica: "Yes it is."
Jug: "Jesus Veronica, you got a twin."
Archie: "Hey guys, I got us Pop's."
Betty and Veronica: "Thank god, I'm starving."
*Jellybean knocks*
Jellybean: "Hey guys, here's Jules and Freddie. They want to meet their new siblings. I told them to be quiet."
Jug: *places Ben on Betty to hold Juliet to see the triplets* "Look Jules, they are your brothers and sister. Soon when they are a bit older, they will play with you."
Juliet: "Daddy, that one looks like me." *points to Riley*
Betty: "That's your sister Riley."
Juliet: "Which is Ben and Ryan?"
Jug: "This one is Ben and this one is Ryan."
Freddie: "Daddy, is that Sofia?"
Archie: "Yeah dude. That's your sister."
Freddie: "Are you sure? She looks too much like Mommy. Like a baby version of Mommy."
Veronica: "We are very sure."
