Chapter 20: Senior Year

Jug's pov
Well Jules is about to finish her senior year. That's insane. Her and Freddie have been working at the Blue and Gold Paper just like Betty and I did. I have a feeling that these two are going to get together. Everyone doesn't suspect it but I just know it. According to the kids, apparently there's a legend at Riverdale High that some guy climbed a ladder just to ask a girl to be his girlfriend. Little do they all know that it was me. I can't believe that I'm a legend. To quote Jules "It's cute and sweet." I'm not going to tell her that it was me because she might regret saying "it's cute and sweet."

Betty and Jug's house
Juliet's room

Juliet: *studying for a math test* "AAAAAAHHHH I DON'T UNDERSTAND MATH! THIS IS POINTLESS AND USELESS!"
Freddie: *knocks on her window*
Juliet: "What the hell?" *laughs* *opens the window*
Freddie: "Hey weirdo. Yelling about math again?" *laughs*
Juliet: "You heard me yell again?"
Freddie: "Come on, we live next door."
Juliet: "I just don't understand since when do we use the pythagorean's theorem in life. Why is it a thing? Whoever came up with it, I'm going to kick their ass."
Freddie: *stares at her*
Juliet: "Freddie, are you ok?"
Freddie: *kisses her*
Juliet: *kisses him back* "Did we just kiss for the first time?"
Freddie: "Is that what your thinking about in our moment? Was that not good? Shit sorry I---"
Juliet: "Shut up. *laughs* It was excellent."
Freddie: "Well, how about we go on an official date on Friday at Pop's and then the drive-in?"
Juliet: "It's a date."
Freddie: "Ok I'm going to go before I get the chancleta for leaving."
Juliet: "Bye!" *laughs*
*Freddie leaves*
Juliet: "MOM YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT JUST HAPPENED!"
*Betty comes in*
Betty: "What happened?"
Juliet: "I JUST HAD MY FIRST KISS!"
Betty: "Wait with who?!" *says excitedly*
Juliet: "Freddie!"
Betty: "Aww how did it happen?"
*Juliet explains*
Betty: "So Freddie recreated the Riverdale legend? *giggles* That's cute."
*Jug walks in*
Jug: "Did you just say you had your first kiss? You're really growing up on me Buggie."
Juliet: "Yeah Dad."
Jug: "When, where and who's ass do I have to kick and teach them about the Serpents?" *laughs at his own joke*
Betty: "Relax Juggie, you know him and he knows the Serpents."
Jug: "Who?"
Juliet: "Freddie." *says in a giggly tone*
Jug: "I CALLED IT! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!"
Betty and Juliet: "What do you mean you called it?"
Jug: "I've always had a feeling that you two would get together. Ok so how did it happen?"
Betty: "Juggie, remember our first kiss?"
Jug: "Yeah but what does that have to do with this?"
Betty: "It happened exactly like that."
Juliet: "Wait a minute, Dad. YOU'RE THE RIVERDALE HIGH LEGEND?!"
Jug: "Yep."
Betty: "He's a legend at school?"
Juliet: "Yeah, every girl said it's their first kiss dream after hearing that story. But they never said who it was."
Jug: "I didn't know I made that much of an impact at your school."
Juliet: "Apparently you did."
Betty: "When's the date?"
Juliet: "Friday. We are going to Pop's then the drive-in."

Friday

Freddie: "Hey Jules, ready for our first date?"
Juliet: "Ready Freddie."
Freddie: "Let's go I'm starving."
Juliet: "Are you really saying that in front of a Jones? Are you forgetting my appetite?" *laughs*
Freddie: "How can I forget?" *laughs*

At the drive-in
Juliet: "Oh my god, Grease?"
Freddie: "Yeah, it's a funny movie and great to sing along to."
*later on in the movie*
Juliet and Freddie: "YOU'RE THE ONE I WANT OOH OOH OOH HONEY THE ONE THAT I WANT OOH OOH THE I NEED OH YES INDEED!"
Juliet: "Aww I'm sad that the movie ended."
Freddie: "Um Jules, do you want to be my girlfriend?"
Juliet: "Of course I do!"
*kisses each other*
Freddie: "Wait does Ben, Riley and Ryan know about us?"
Juliet: "No, let's keep this between us for now if that's ok. I don't want them to freak out so soon in the relationship."
Freddie: "Knowing your siblings, it's going to be crazy. It's fine to wait."

Months later
Jug: "I can't believe you are graduating!"
Betty: "You're all grown up. You grew up too quick Buggie. We are so proud of you."
Juliet: "Well Mom this was definitely not like High School Musical."
Freddie: "Hey Weirdo." *kisses her*
*Ben, Riley and Ryan come back after getting a drink*
Riley: "What the hell?!"
Ben: "Since when did you two start kissing each other?"
Ryan: "Are you guys dating?"
Juliet: "Since November 5. And yes we are dating."
Riley: "Wait is that why you screamed you got your first kiss a few months ago?"
Juliet: "Yeah."
Riley: "I'm cool with it."
Ben and Ryan: "Hurt her and we will kick your ass."
Freddie: "Well that took a turn."
