iida's pov

I saw Lydia at the bus stop again today. "Iida! It's nice to see you again. How was your weekend?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I worked, watched a movie. Mostly worked. What about you?"

She smiles at my response. "I explored the city and worked too. There was this really good taffy shop near Oracle. But yeah my weekend was good."

I nodded. She pipped up again. "Do you know where the best burger joint is around here?"

"No, I'm vegetarian, so. I know good vegan burgers, but no actual burger places."

"Huh. Okay. Well thank you anyways."

The silence was awkward, and so was boarding the bus when it arrived. I got dropped off at my work before she did. Upon arriving at the office the secretary reminded me that I had another appointment with Lydia. I also had multiple meetings today with managers and HR.

After all was said and done, I had my appointment with Lydia. She greeted me with a large smile. "Ah! Iida. Hello. How was your day?" she asked.

I shrugged. "It was fine, nothing bad, nothing good. Usual routine. You?"

"It was good! A dog that we did surgery on got to go home today, he was super sweet. But yeah, anyways," she chuckled.

We discussed finical aid, taking out a loan, investing in insurance. General stuff. By the time we finished our meeting, work was out for me. We walked down the same sidewalk we did before hand. Lydia looked pretty today. I didn't think of her in a flirty way, but she just did. She always had a nice dress to wear out a nice shoes to match. Her hair looked soft, too.

She must have noticed me starring and looked up. She giggled. "What?"

I could feel my cheeks burning. Great. "Nothing, you look nice is all."

As she ran a hand through her hair she looked down. "Thank you, Iida. You do too," She replied softly. "Hey Iida?"

I looked up and replied with a hum.

"Do you think you're free this Saturday? Or are you working again?"

I thought for a moment. "I'll have to see. What time would you want to meet at?"

"Noon at the bus stop. I'm thinking of going to a restaurant. You can choose where to go, if you want, I don't mind."

I smiled at the idea. "I'll definitely have to see." She nodded. Shortly after our conversation we were at the bus stop and were parting ways to get home.

Saturday morning I woke up at eight am and made myself eggs. I pondered Lydia's offer for a long time. Maybe, I thought, Maybe.

I sat on my couch in silence. I looked down at the plate of eggs for ten minutes before actually eating them. When I did dig into them, they were cold. A large sigh escaped my lips. I put on music and decided to get dressed for the day. I put on a sweater and grey sweats. Nothing too formal, not to messy. I took my contacts out and switched to my glasses instead. Emails awaited me on my computer, so I began answering them.
