The arrow had hit just below my heart. I screamed in pain and Eldar shouted.
"Faelyn! Are you alive?" His breathing was labored. Eldar was good at fighting, but he couldn't keep fighting two well trained Orcs for long.
"I'm fine, just kill them! Don't worry about me!" I grunted in pain and tried to crawl away from the Orc. He raised a fist and everything went black.
I cracked my eyes open to briefly scan my surroundings. I was in a rusty, metal cage surrounded by rock. It was some sort of hideout, most likely used by my kidnappers. I heard hushed voices across the room. It was the orcs that had attacked us, except there was a fifth one. He was the one who must have shot me. He had probably had hid in the trees and waited. They were sneaky, that was for sure.
I listened in, straining to hear their hissed whispers.
"We can use the girl as bait. A little bird told me that he had taken a liking to her and if we keep her, he may come to us.
"Yes, but she is a princess. If word of her goes missing, the whole royal Elven army will come looking for her. We should just kill her."
They seemed to be talking about just me. That must mean Eldar is alive! I couldn't really see anything in the dark cave. My chest started burning and aching. The arrow must of been coated with some sort of poison because I hadn't started healing yet. Elves could heal faster than your average creature, but not as quick as some. My hands were tied behind my back so I couldn't pull the arrow out. I groaned in pain and the Orcs quickly stopped whispering and came over.
"Ah, the beautiful princess has finally awoken. Welcome to our humble abode" he sneered.
I pressed my forehead on the metal bars and glared at them."If you let me go free, my mother will surely reward you. Just untie me and I'll forget we ever met."
"Sorry little lady but no can do. We have our own plans and you are definitely a part of them." They banged the bars with a club and I fell back. "Just take a little nap. You will find out our intentions soon enough."
I spit at them through the bars but they just ducked and walked away laughing. I forced myself to go back to sleep because my wound started hurting again. I periodically woke up, not knowing what day it was or even if it was day or night. My lips were dried and cracked as I had not drank water in what felt like days. They gave me no food or inkling as to when, rather if, they would release me.
One day I woke up to the sound of my metal cage creaking open. Two Orcs lunged towards me and quickly blindfolded me. I kicked and screamed. "Let me go you monsters! I'll kill you!" They made no comment as they dragged me out of the cave and pushed me against some sort of pole. They cut the rope behind my back and I attempted to punch them, but they quickly tied my arms around the pole again as well as my feet.
"Boss said to cut her real good. Make her scream loudly and bleed profusely and he will come."
The second Orc laughed. "Heh after all da shit this bitch talked, I got no problem with cuttin' her up real good."
All of the sudden I felt slashes on my arms. The knife he used was jagged and it dragged unwillingly across my flesh, time and time again. I screamed and cried in agony and they cut me again and again. Blood seeped down my arms and drip onto my legs.
"That should be enough. Lets wait in the trees and ambush him when he comes." I heard the Orcs trample away, snickering to themselves. My bleeding still hadn't stopped. They had cut my arms, all across my chest and parts of my legs.I softly cried to myself because the last thing I wanted to do was make more sound. Whoever they were wanting to ambush shouldn't hear my cries of pain. I didn't want anyone else to get hurt besides Eldar. I hoped he was alright.
After several hours my legs started to give out. I couldn't sit because of the way I was tied up so I bent my knees and much as I could. My wounds had closed a little bit but it still hurt to move. My legs were stuck together with dried blood. I could feel my hair matted in knots behind my head and I groaned. I hated brushing my hair and Meara wasn't here to help me.
Honestly I'd rather die that spend countless hours brushing my hair. I decided to try and rest, hopefully that would help the healing process.
As I was dreaming, I heard a deep voice whisper, "Faelyn."
A warm hand caressed my cheek tenderly and a kiss was planted on my forehead. What a weird dream, I thought. Then my body felt free, like I was floating on a cloud and I drifted off into darkness again.
I came to, feeling the sensation of something wet dragging across my skin. "Nngh" I groaned. The sensation stopped and I cracked opened my eyes open to see the one and only, Alpha Greyson leaning over my half naked body.
