~I usually listen to music while writing. In this chapter I listened to a big portion of the interstellar track for inspiration!

My sandals crunched against the dry dirt on the road. My feet dragged slightly as I was getting tired of keeping up with Greyson's pace. His legs were twice the length of mine, I had to walk double my normal pace just to keep up with him. My long hair kept blowing in my face as the summer breeze swirled around the forest trees. Greyson approached a dead log on the side of the road and sat down. He patted a spot next to him on it, gesturing for me to sit down. I crinkled my nose, as there would probably be spiders all over the thing.

"There are no bugs, I checked."

"How did you--"

"I know you hate bugs. Plus, I think the bond is growing stronger" he smiled. I sighed and sat next to him on the log. He placed his hands on my shoulders and turned me away from him. His long fingers combed through my hair, parting it into sections. "I noticed your hair was getting in your way. Luckily for you I know how to braid."

I smiled, thinking how sweet he was. "Who taught you how to braid?"

"Hmm. Probably one of the maids. Lots of werewolves have long hair, its just general knowledge among the community. There, all done."

I reached back and felt the smooth lines of his work. Though I had no mirror, I had faith that I looked presentable.

"You look beautiful, don't worry." He kissed my cheek and he helped me up off the log.

Several hours later boredom really began to set in. "Are we there yet?! I am not meant for this kind of strenuous activity."

"Strenuous? We have been walking on pretty much solid, flat ground. Maybe if we were going uphill it would be tiring."

"It is tiring having to keep up with you!" I stepped on the back of his heel just to prove my point that I was always behind him.

"Watch it! And besides we are almost there. Look up ahead and see for yourself."

We parted ways with the thick, lush forest and entered a grassy, green meadow. It was filled with flowers of every color, bees buzzing happily and birds flocking the skies. The tall grass brushed against my legs and tickled me. Atop the hill was a small cottage with smoke coming out of the chimney. "Finally!" I exclaimed.

We walked together uphill and approached the tiny house. A small rocker swayed with the wind on the dusty wooden porch. Instead of a welcome sign, there was just a mat in front of the door with an infinity symbol. Odd, I thought. As I lifted a closed fist to knock on the door, it opened before I could touch the door and was greeted by none other than the Great Estelle. "Come in, child."

I nodded nervously and stepped carefully through the threshold. As soon as I was inside the door slammed shut and I spun around, staring wide eyed at the locked door. "C-can Greyson come in?"

"No."

I slowly turned around and took in the sight of the house. It was huge inside, much bigger than the outside of the house. I furrowed my brow in confusion.

"Magic, my dear."

Oh I thought. She probably gets that question a lot.

"Yes I get that question a lot."

"Uhh so I take it you can read thoughts?"

"Not quite. But I am pretty good at reading people."

She's hilarious, I thought. I mean she is basically a fortune teller who also happens to be a witch. She is probably one of the oldest and most powerful people in the land and here I was standing in her foyer listening to jokes. I looked around me. Her taste in decor was eccentric to say the least. She had everything from jewelry to pig heads on display. Mental note, do not cross Estelle. Especially if you are a pig. She gestured for me to come to the living room and she sat down on a black and white striped couch. A pot of steaming hot tea was already resting on the coffee table, like she knew she was expecting someone. I sat across from her in an old, worn leather chair and twiddled my thumbs nervously. As I looked up at Estelle, I noticed she looked different than what people had told me. "W--"
