This is a longer chapter.... Enjoy;)

Once the door opens, Jo is sitting down in her makeup chair. Fixing her hair as her makeup artist is reapplying foundation.

"Hi." The singer smiles widely at the event planner.

"Hi, Jo." Kassie says with confidence.

"Bre, will you give me some privacy please?" Jo asks the makeup artist.

Bre agrees and walks out of the room, leaving the two women alone.

Both women are star-struck and staring at each other.

After a few moments Kassie breaks the staring contest.

Clearing her throat, "How have you been?" she asks the singer.

"I've been well. Please have a seat."

The older woman suggests as she too gets up and heads closer to the woman.

They both take a seat next to each other.

"Your show was amazing, Jo! I am still a little high from all the excitement."

"Thank you. I'm glad you liked the show. So, tell me how's everything been since we last talked."

"It's been great. I just been super busy with events. Your event is coming together nicely, by the way."

"I was going to ask you about that. My friends told me that everything has been going great and that the venue was amazing."

"Yes, everything is perfect. I made sure to update all vendors and checked with them before coming here. Mia has everything under control, and I did a final walk-through yesterday. The place is gorgeous, Maya is going to love it."

Kassie rambles as she is still a little nervous.

"I'm glad that everything is perfect. I expected nothing but the best due to all the wonderful reviews about you."

Kassie blushes at the compliment.

"Thank you."

A comfortable silence settles in between the two women.

"How's that beautiful baby girl of yours doing."

Kassie asks the older woman.

"Ella is doing great. She's singing now and walking everywhere." Jo shares.

"She sings?"

"Yes! Only a few words," the soft-spoken women says.

"She loves to sing, "rah, rah, rah, mommy" It's so cute."

Both ladies laugh at the story about the almost two-year-old.

"So, Ms. Kassie. Do you have any plans tonight?"

"Actually, yes. My friends are taking me to some club after this, and then we will probably go change and hit up Fremont street."

"Okay that sounds fun. I wish I could join you."

"Come." Kassie invites the older woman.

"I don't think I can. I have a club appearance after this. I forgot the name of the club and after that I'm heading back to my hotel to sleep." The older woman laughs softly.

"Okay. Well, maybe another time."

Kassie says as she looks into the woman's eye.

"I'd like that." Jo says in a soft voice.

Both women smile at each other and laugh out loud at the awkwardness in the dressing room.

"I should get going. I left my friends at the bar and don't want to keep them waiting long."
