Chapter 12: Unexpected Visitor

Kassie look over to her girlfriend, then back to the man who is waiting on a response.

The nanny recognizes the tension in the room and take Ella to the spare bedroom.

Once Jo saw the nanny usher Ella out of the room, she immediately shot daggers at the tall lanky man.

"Eric!" Jo shouted in an irritated tone, "please leave her alone."

"Don't you think I deserve an answer. Especially since my daughter will be around her." Eric questioned.

"You're right. You do deserve that." Kassie says with more confidence.

Eric stared at the woman for a few moments before he began to walk closer to her.

His stare looking more threatening and menacing by the second.

"Eric. I am warning you!" Jo shouts as she step in front of her girlfriend.

When Jo stop between her daughters' father and her girlfriend, Johnathan immediately came to her side.

Eric look to his right and saw Johnathan move into his eyesight; the tall lanky man began to back down some.

"So, what is this Jo. You two are together?" Eric asked.

"What me and Kassie have is none of your concern, Eric."

"I have the right if my daughter -."

"MY DAUGHTER!" Jo cuts the man off.

"Let's not forget our agreement and the court appointed documents, Eric. For all intents and purposes, you are nothing more than a sperm donor. You know it and I know it."

Jo responds as she pointed her finger in the mans' face.

Eric look at all three occupants in the room and with another glance towards the curly head woman, he backs down officially.

Eric walk over to the dining table and take a seat.

"So, you weren't lying." The man state out loud.

"I wasn't lying about what?" Jo challenges.

"That you're into women." Eric let escape his mouth.

Jo thought for a second before replying.

"No, I wasn't lying. I just never disclosed that information to you upfront."

"So, you're dating again. I thought you and I would-," he is cut off mid-sentence.

"You thought you and I would what...get back together?"

Jo looked at the man and laughs.

"You're bat shit crazy if you think I would ever go back to you!" Jo exclaims.

Kassie is very shocked at what is going on in front of her. Never did she think she would have to see Jo act like this.

To be completely honest, "Badass Jo is so turning me on" Kassie shakes herself out of the daydream she is having when she hear the next words.

"You and I worked though Jo. That's why we got married in the first place."

Eric belt pleadingly to the older woman.

Sensing that maybe she shouldn't be a part of this conversation.

Kassie slowly back out of the room. She turn to head toward the singers' bedroom before a hand grasps her shoulder.

"Don't go," Jo utters to her girlfriend.

"Babe, I don't think I should be a part of this conversation," Kassie reply as she turn back around.
