A Love Story: The Singer and the Fan

Chapter 16: Without You

"What's up, boss lady?" Johnathan asks concernedly to the singer.

They have been sitting in the Black SUV for 20 minutes and Jo hasn't said one word.

The singer looked at the bald headed man and she shakes her head.

"I'm just thinking." Jo replied.

Johnathan continues to stare at the singer with skepticism.

Jo chuckles at the man's face.

"I've been thinking about what we are going to do when the show ends...Kassie and I. She lives in Texas and I'm back and forth from LA, London and New York."

Jo lets out a sigh at the end of her mini-rant.

"Well, what do you want to do? What is the ultimate goal for you two?"

Johnathan asks his boss who has become more like a little sister with over his 20 years of service.

Jo thinks for a second, "All I want is for us to be together. Whether that is in Texas or LA. We can travel together when we need to go to London but for the most part, I want us to be together in one state."

"Have you guys talked about it? I mean what does Kassie have to say about all of this."

Jo look out the window and remembers the conversation between the two of them four days ago.

"Babe, I wouldn't want you to put your business at risk with you moving across the country for me." Jo acknowledged to her girlfriend.

"Really Jo? Across the country?"Kassie replied in a joking matter.

"Oh, you know what I mean, Kassie!"

Kassie chuckled and then replied.

"Listen, babe, I really won't be putting myself out if I decided to move to LA. The thing is...I have actually been looking to expand my business in that area for awhile now. I was at a conference a couple of months before I met you and I came across an amazing group of men and women who were event planners too and we were talking about what it would look like if I expanded into their area and babe, it looked very promising."

"Oh, well I didn't know all of that. I still want you to think about it first before it happens though. I want it to be solely based on your thoughts and not mine. Of course, I want you here with me but only if you want to be."

"Boss? We are here." Johnathan said as he interrupts Jo's thoughts.

They had just arrived to rehearsals for the day.

Jo had an interview in LA that morning and they had just got back from the Airport.

The singer has so much on her mind, especially as of late.

Her and Kassie's relationship has been amazing. The event planner stayed a whole week in a half with the singer.

After her event in Chicago and impromptu visit for the weekend, Jo and Kassie decided they wanted to spend more time with each other.

So, after that amazing date night they had out, Kassie cancelled her flight the next morning.

The fan was going to come back for the shows later that next week anyways, so she decided to just stay with her girlfriend.

Amber and Mia had everything handled at the office and didn't need Kassie to actually be there.

Of course, Kassie made sure to stay on top of her emails and phone calls while in Vegas. She even had a few conferences over the computer about some new events that she was involved in.
