Chapter 21: I Think She's the One?

Also, I'm working on another story that will be different than this one but it will have my favorite singer involved. Which will give me an opportunity to start working on a part two to this one. Kassie was awake earlier than usual. It was 7:15 AM and she had been up since six that morning. She was laying poolside in some black Nike shorts and a Jo concert t-shirt. Her hair was in a messy bun and she had on some large dark shades to cover her eyes from the bright sunlight.

The event planner had been thinking about so much lately; in regards to her and the singer. Jo had came into Kassie's life at a point where she had presumably giving up on love. All of her previous relationships had been toxic of some sort and she just didn't want to go through any of the bullshit again.

Her relationship with Anthony had ended a while ago, but she kept giving him chance after chance. Not realizing that she had checked out of the relationship during all of those times. She wanted it to work because she was almost thirty and wanted her life to align the way she had envisioned it.

The curly head woman was supposed to be married by 25 and have two kids by thirty, but that did not happen. She thought that person was going to be Anthony. Rather, she wanted it to be him but then Jo happened.

When she met Jo, it was like everything that she had hoped and dreamed of happening, walked right in that door with her at their first meeting.

Kassie's life had flashed before her eyes when she officially met Jo that day in her office. Call her crazy if you want to, but she knew then that Jo was the one.

Yes, she loved the singer Jo before everything happened, but now she loves Jo the woman and nobody can tell her any different. Which is why she is currently sitting on the patio chair outside watching the sun rise.

Over the last six months, Kassie had fallen completely in love with the singer. Her love for her had intensified immensely from just a fan loving her favorite singer, to a woman loving her potential...wife?

This past weekend a question had been popping up in her head over and over again. The other night during their gathering had solidified the answer that she knew she had already known. She was going to ask the singer to marry her. When? That she didn't know the answer to, but it was going to happen soon.

"Penny for your thoughts?" Kassie heard behind her.

Amber her best-friend was standing behind her with a cup of coffee in her hand and a blanket wrapped around her body. Kassie smiled at the red head as she cuddled up with her in the cozy lawn chair. Her friend snuggled closely to the curly head woman and gave her a kiss on the head as she went in to sip her drink.

Kassie just smiled at Amber and sipped her lukewarm coffee in her hand. They both watched the sun peeking over the tall palm trees in the backyard of the mansion.

The reflection of the sun bounced off of the saltwater pool and gave a beautiful glow to the patio area. They sat still for a moment and basked in the gorgeous morning scene.

"How long have you been up?" Ashley finally broke the calm silence.

Kassie cleared her throat before answering.

"Ummm.. since 6 this morning. I couldn't sleep anymore. Jo had to leave for the hotel at 5:30 so I helped her load Ella and her bags into the car. She has a photo-shoot with the dancers and of course rehearsal before the show tonight." Kassie recounted this morning and Jo's schedule with a warm tone.
