N/A: I noticed there was a sort of confusion because I published 2 chapters in a row and many people didn't see the second. Please read chapter seven, otherwise, you won't understand this one! I hope you enjoy both.
Once Upon a Time...
The raven-haired girl was dressed in a yellowish cloak, hiding her adventure costume, or should I say, her thieving costume.
Henry never imagined that ditzy young lady as a thief, fighting like a lion, without being afraid of dirtying her hands or slipping away from her high heels.
He waited, holding tight to his sword, as he saw the wicked stepsister walking in the forest, invited by the first rays of sun.
Henry had the perfect trap to catch her, he learned from the best. There was no way a woman could run away when she's tied down in a net.
As he smirked, imagining his plan, it finally took action and he giggled, watching Drizella scream in the net, as she realized she was trapped.
"Argh! No! Get me out of here!!!" She screamed, feeling constrained in that awful situation.
"Impressive!" Henry smiled, growing closer to the net and crossing his arms as he found it all hilarious.
"Is this the only way you can catch a woman? By entrapping her?"
"It is the only way to catch thieving scum." He sassily replied. "The slipper, you stole it. How did you find it anyway?" He asked, curious about her tracking skills.
"Well, right after your mother knocked me off, I followed you out and waited for the right moment to steal my step-bitch's shoe."
"Step-bitch?" Henry wrinkled his face, upon hearing Drizella mocking on her sister.
"Yes, now cut me down, immediately!"
"Oh, you want me to cut you down?" He asked, growing closer, as a sassy smirk held his gaze up. "Fine! I'll cut you down as soon as you tell me where the slipper is! Did you...?" He started imagining the worst-case scenario, which was her handing the slipper to Lady Tremaine.
"Relax!" She smiled in a sassy devious smirk. "I did not give the slipper to my mother."
Henry sighed in relief, still, he didn't know if he could trust her, the woman who yesterday was ready to kill him to get the glass slipper.
"Why would I trust you?"
Drizella took a deep breath and found the guts to tell Henry what was on her mind.
"Because...Cinderella...She inspired me."
"What, the girl you turned her life into a living hell?"
"Yes, the one." Drizella angrily stated in a low tone. "And I didn't do it by choice. Do you think she was the only one trapped in that manor? Do you think I like to be mother's bitch who always gets her hands dirty for her?"
Henry sighed, feeling empathy for the wicked step-sister, as he realized how terrible it must have been to be her daughter.
"I wasn't always as cruel as you think I am...Henry Mills. Yet, ever since my older sister died, making my mother happy is the only way I can be accepted in that house...all she cares about is Anastasia's long-departed ghost. Even in death, that girl will always be her favorite."
"I am sorry to hear that..." Henry said, with a deep frown in his mouth. "But why run away only now? Couldn't you do it earlier?" He asked, in a serious compassionated tone.
"Well, I thought about it...But I never had the opportunity or the guts." She looked down, feeling ashamed. "Until yesterday." She said as her eyes grew bigger and brighter. "When Cinderella took your affection, I realized that if she, of all people, could find her happy ending, I damn well could find my own!"
