New Enchanted Forest, a time of great upheaval...

Henry: The moonlight shading over thick dark clouds was the only hint of light in the desolated realm where fairytales and happy endings used to thrive. Now there was only numbness of hollow spells that whisked away hope breathing inside my family's heart.

It was all once blissful and eternally happy until we received word from the fairies that a dark power was rising, conspiring amongst the heaviest shadows of our realm.

A group of witches, some said...It's a powerful witch doctor who talks to his friends on the other side...others speculated...It's Lady Tremaine...some theorized.

Besides the point, darkness was coming, covering everything that once shined bright with pure joy and shading pale moonlight's reach as the dark clouds hovered all over the Enchanted Forest, trees were hollow and the sound of screaming agony took over the wolves and spirits of the forest.

I ran as fast as I could, feet sunk inside the little hell of mud and cold rain that drowned the ground. With only a torch in my hand and a sword on my belt, waiting to be used, I ran at the speed of sound, cutting through the forest's intoxicating breath of fear.

When I arrived to a fallen tree that became a rustic version of safe haven, my fingers drew closer to those little wooden carved doors, opening them with all the strength they had.

My body burst inside the hollow tree and I ran deep inside, taking myself to a little numb place with weak lightning and heavy forest like smell.

The darkness kept hovering behind me but I was in time to close the doors and run towards my sleeping daughter.

The girl with chocolate brown like skin startled herself, her body rose up from the bed as mind tried to connect with the angsty reality she was about to face.

"What is it, father?!" The girl asked me, staring at my deep forest green eyes as I checked up if she was okay, touching her little body, kissing, hugging and my breath turned heavier and heavier, scent gripped the vanilla of the sweet child's presence, afraid it would be the last time to be sensed.

"It found us!"

"What?!"

"The Darkness! You have it don't you?!"

"Of course, papa, it never leaves my side!"

The little girl showed me a big storybook entitled Once Upon a Time and a breath of relief covered my lungs in sweet tender hope that not all was lost.

"Good, it may be the realm's only hope in defeating the darkness."

A bump on the door was heard and we both knew it was too late to stop the shadows from coming in and wreck everything.

"Father?!" The chocolate brown eyed girl panicked, rising up from bed.

"Don't be frightened! You need to run with the book, promise me it will stay safe!"

"No, I'll help you fight!"

"Your safety is what's most important, honey, and the book's for it is the only chance we have to stop the darkness. You need to go, now!" I reminded, having the feeling shadows wouldn't stay at bay for too long.

"Daddy...!" My daughter's breath was so heavy and fast passed it could collapse the numb hollow cavern we were in.

"I know...I know...me too! Go!" I hated that could be a goodbye, so I just let my daughter go and once the hope she was safe, and in her hands were the means to save us all, filled my soul, I picked up my sword, rose it really high and took one last sigh, before the thick dark shadows burst inside the tiny room, breaking everything apart and tear me to pieces!
