Spoilers for the end of After Henry's Part One! Continue at your own risk!
Hello, beloved readers, as you know, part one met it's ending yesterday and I hope you weren't let down by the cliffhanger :) Things seem pretty angsty for Henry and Ivy right now because of Detective Weaver and Victoria Belfrey, but it'll prove how strong Henry and Ivy's love is if they defeat such a great threat.
Anyways, I realized most of my readers don't know the tv show Once Upon a Time, which served as inspiration to write this story.
As the show itself is very complex and confusing, I'm sure it's a bit overwhelming to read a story based on seven years of such an amazing tv show ahah.
If you have any questions, any doubts, please feel free to ask them here or on the chapters themselves. I'll start with a few that might be the most recurrent questions.
1. What's the show about?
Once Upon a Time is an incredible show that bases itself on the idea that fairytales are real and live in a parallel reality called The Enchanted Forest.
After Prince Charming awakes Snow White with true love's kiss, everyone leads happy lives, that is, until the Evil Queen Regina threatens to cast a dark curse that will send every storybook character to a terrible place with no happy endings. Our World.
In Storybrooke, Maine, lives Henry Mills, a ten year old kid who believes in the dark curse and that for twenty eight years fairytale characters have been living in his town, frozen in time, with no memories and loss of identity, where Regina Mills, aka Evil Queen and Henry's adoptive mother dictates the rules.
In an effort to break the curse and bring back the happy endings he brings Emma Swan to his hometown, who happens to be Henry's biological mother and in his mind, the lost daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, the savior and only hope of breaking the dark curse.
2. How is Henry, Emma and Regina's relationship?
I hate spoilers, so in a very vague description. After Emma breaks the curse, with the help of friends and family Regina found the path of redemption, but it wasn't easy! Alas, in the end, Regina and Emma formed a very complex and truthful friendship and co-parent Henry.
Emma also found love in the arms of Captain Hook and built a life with him, a very unexpected fairytale loved by many fans.
3. Henry's journey in the Enchanted Forest (according to my book)
Following his grandparents' footsteps, Henry traveled to a storybook like realm and fell in love with Drizella, unexpectedly, since he was trying to find his way into a legend. Although we don't know why, as of yet, why Henry chose Cinderella in the end, we will find out! Plus, we will also meet Cinderella and her daughter, Lucy, who unfortunately for Ivy, are alive and well, with no memories of Henry or the fairytale existence, though.
4. Family tree
Yeah, that's the messiest thing about the show if we don't count timeline. Basically, Henry's biological mother is Emma Swan, his maternal grandparents are Snow White and Prince Charming and his adoptive mother is the Evil Queen Regina Mills. He has an evil grandfather, though, he's name is Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold/Weaver and he's the dark one, the most powerful sorcerer in all the realms.
5. How many dark curses did the heroes face?
Do you really wanna know?! AHAHA all you need to know is that the dark curse that brought everyone to our world, including Henry, Drizella, Cinderella and many others isn't the first but it's definitely the most powerful one. This of course, according to my book.
Hope you don't run away right the way! I know the show is messy, but I'll try to "simplify" it as much as possible, so people who didn't watch Once Upon a Time can still enjoy this story! Any question don't be shy, I'm a very sociable person and I don't bite!
I also advise you to watch this tv show because although flawed at some points and others overly messy it's wonderful and is by far my favorite tv show!
Nice readings and hope you love the next part of my novel!
