~ Chapter 15 ~

"All boarding, next stop is Tokyo, Japan." The English translator said over an intercom.

The train whistled five times before began to roll down the tracks.

In the corner of the emptiest cart was where I sat, my eyes watching the train past millions of trees.

My hands laid in my lap, my katana by my side. I was lucky when I snuck on. No one had noticed me.

I made myself a makeshift seat with the luggage. So many people took trains to Tokyo.

Slowly, I brought out a piece of paper Splinter had handed me.

'Show this to whoever you trust,' his words echoed. The thing that sucked was Splinter told me I couldn't look at it.

I also brought out a map. I slowly traced my hand over every road. I had marked every possible small village my father could've lived in.

The downfall of the Foot only had lasted fifteen years, before Shredder took it over again.

I sighed and leaned my head against the car. I had only five months. It had already took me five weeks to get to Japan. I had no money, no leads, and no deodorant. And trust me, I needed deodorant.

Muffled voices came from the cart in front of mine.

"Hai, I heard that master of something is coming to Mito, all the way from Kagoshima."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, he hardly ever makes an appearance, I even heard no one knows what his face looks like."

"Oh! I've heard of him! He a master of Ninjutsu!"

Ninjutsu. Ninjas.

I slowly crept to the door, trying to hear more.

"He's very old. Apparently he's really wealthy too."

"You think he'll give me some money?"

The people laughed and drifted off to another conversation.

Mito. That was a town outside of Tokyo.

My mind was turning. Mito. Maybe the train will stop to pick up people from Mito. It was a slight chance but maybe it would.

I cursed as rain came down upon my head.

"Stupid train, now I have to walk to Mito, in a slight chance I'll get to meet this 'master' of Ninjutsu." I muttered bitterly.

I splashed through mud puddles as cherry blossom peddles stuck to my hair. My hand tightly clutched my scabbard. Talking to myself in the rain, people probably thought I was crazy.

Suddenly a glimpse of city lights caught my attention.

I grinned and scrambled up a ledge. A cluster of towns, apartments and buildings laid scattered below me.

Mito, I had made it. Now the problem was where this master was.

I slowly made my way into the city, nobody was out walking around. Everyone had the right idea of stay inside.

Despite the rain, stores were lit up and open for business. Many of the people were Japanese, which made sense since Mito wasn't a common tourist place. Every thing was in Japanese, which wasn't a problem. Like my inherited ninjutsu skills, I could read Japanese easily.
