I was getting ready for school the next day when I heard loud honking of a car. I took a peep outside and saw the black Ferrari I've seen the other day. It was parked in front of my house. Who could that be?

I took the opportunity to go outside and find out who the driver is.

"Hey..." Dien stepped out of the car when he saw me approaching.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I stopped few feet away from him.  He smiled.

"I just thought maybe you'd care for a ride to school?"

          "Are you stalking me?"

"What? Me? A stalker?" he asked then burst out into laughter. "Hell no!"

"Then, how come that you know my house. Don't tell me that it's another wild guess of yours, that won't buy." I said eyeing him suspiciously.

Instead of answering he continued laughing which irritated me even more. I was supposed to walk away but he grabbed me by the wrist, as he straightened.

"I'm so sorry if I embarrassed you."

"Just tell me what I want to know."

"Okay. Okay. I saw you enter that house last night on my way home."

           "Where do you live?"

"In the house by the cliff. One of these days, I'll bring you there. If you want to." He smiled. "Satisfied now?"

            "Partly."

"What? Why?" he asked, quite confused of my answer.

"Why do you keep on giving me much attention when in fact I'm just new in your school?"

He stared at me with those pitch black eyes again. Those eyes really creeps me out.

"Honestly, I don't know. But I have this gut feeling that I need to do it. Since the day that I met you, I had this sudden urge to protect you."

"Protect me? Protect me from whom? From what?" I can't understand him.

He smiled. "I don't know. Sometimes I feel like doing something without any reason. I guess this is one of those," he said looking straight into my eyes.

Black ones against my hazel eyes. For a second, I think I've seen sadness from its depths. Then he looked away.

"Well, are you coming or not? We'll be late for school."

"Wait for me here." I said running towards the house. He's a total stranger but I have this feeling that I can trust him.

Isn't it known that your first instincts are always right?

Yeah right, I really love to use sayings and quotations when it comes to explanations.

Dien Livingston.. he's really strange, isn't he?
