DIEN's POV
"Who told you to kidnap her?!" I was furious about what happened to Brielle.
If I was not there, she's probably dead by now. Taking my sword I advanced toward one of the men who tried to kidnap her and pointed the tip of the weapon to him.
"Master—"
"Answer me or you'll die." I said coldly.
"I did," I heard someone speak from behind me.
It was my father.
He graciously entered the room and stood in front of me. He took the sword from my hand and waved to the men.
"Go now." They immediately fled.
"How could you?! She's just an ordinary girl!"
"She's dividing your attention. She's not a good influence to you, son."
"Don't I deserve to be happy, Father?" I asked him.
He stared at me. Then he smiled.
"No, son. Someone like you, like US, our happiness are far more than any mortal happiness. You have your mission and that mission does not include falling in love with that girl."
"If that's the case, I quit."
I don't plan to argue with him. I still need to check on Brielle. I was about to walk away when father spoke again.
"Do it..," I did not turn to face him but he continued. "Quit and I'll personally make a move to get rid of that girl. I'm warning you. You will not like it son."
After saying that, he walked passed by me. I was left inside the room, anger filled my being but worry is stronger.
I am definitely anxious about Brielle. What should I do?
BRIELLE's POV
It's been two weeks now since the kidnapping incident and two weeks had already passed since the last time I saw Dien.
Nobody knows where he went or how is he. I'm totally freaking out.
What if he went back to the kidnappers and they happened to get even with him? Oh my God, what shall I do?
After ages of convincing Mrs. Trevor to give me his personal address, I won. So without hesitation, I decided to pay Dien's place a visit.
-------
I am in Italy. Not the literal place but I feel like I am in Italy right now because of the Italian inspired mansion by the cliff I am seeing through the sky high gates.
I never imagined that there is a house like this in the outskirts of our town. It was like dream.
"Good Morning, Lady Gabrielle," I was stunned when a man of mid-forties opened the gates for me. His accent is quite British. "I am Watson. The Livingston family's butler. Directress Trevor advised us of your visit. Master Daemon and Young Master Dien is already waiting for you inside. Follow me please."
I followed Watson. On our way to the mansion, we passed by a lovely rose garden which is filled with rare green and blue roses. I was enjoying my sight-seeing when my eyes caught something odd.
"Is it.. a graveyard?" I asked Watson. He followed my glance then he smiled.
"Yes, my lady. A line of Livingston men were buried there. Is there any problem?"
"None, it's nothing." I said but honestly, the thought of Dien's house having its own cemetery is somehow weird.
But I chose not to speak my mind. A cemetery is just a cemetery. I came here for Dien. That's more important.
On both sides of the heavy oak doors, there are statues of angels with broken wings and on the door itself, carved heads of lions were attached.
I followed Watson inside and I learned that the interior is more enthralling than the exterior of the mansion.
The great chandelier, which lights up every corner of the house, ceiling to floor windows with hanged tapestries and the antique furniture makes it more enchanting to the eyes.
This mansion must have been built for centuries now yet its age doesn't eliminate the fact that the place is too dumbfounding for the naked eye.
"Brielle!" I was startled when someone called my nickname. It was Dien. He swiftly went down the long staircase. I met him halfway.
"Brielle, what on Earth is wrong with you? Why are you here?"
"I just want to check out on you. Are you sick? Why haven't you gone to school for two weeks?" I asked him as I reached for his cheek. I couldn't help it. I was so worried about him.
"You're not supposed to be here. C'mon, I'm taking you home." He said leading me to the door. But we were only halfway there when we heard a man speak.
"Dien, won't you invite your friend for dinner?"
