It has already been a year since that day but I could still feel the pain of his loss.

I had lived my life to the fullest.

I even enrolled to another University in France and got the chance to have a scholarship.I also worked part time in a coffee shop.

Everything is normal except for my heart.

An important piece is gone that is why, it's not functioning well.

My thoughts flew when I heard loud honking of a car from behind me. A familiar car passed by.

It was a black Ferrari.

I smiled.. a bitter one.

It's funny how an object enough can trigger profound memories. I decided to walk away before pain could take over.

"You haven't changed a bit," a familiar voice said.

I stopped.

God, why am I hearing things?

I laughed at myself.

Maybe the depression has already affected my brain. I probably have gone mad already.

Shaking my head, I continued my pace.

"Gabrielle Creed."

No, this isn't happening. I'm just tired and maybe the stress is the cause of this. I really need a break. I ignored the voice.

"Brielle!"

I stopped. I don't know why but I turned to face the person calling me.

To my surprise, it was Dien with his picture perfect smile. I miss that one.

Am I already dead?

If that's the case, it's all right with me. Knowing that Dien is the one who'll fetch me. He walk his way to me.

When we were already facing each other, he speak again.

"Hello, Brielle. It's been a while."

Without a word, I reached for his cheeks. He closed his eyes, held my hand and kissed it.

He feels so real that's why I can't help but to cry. I really miss this man. I really miss him.

"Shhh.. please don't cry.. I'd rather die again than to see you shed tears." He hugged me.

"Is this just a delusion? Because if it is, I'd prefer to be here than to live a life without you." I said in between sobs. Dien cupped my cheeks in both hands and smiled.

"This is real, Brielle. I'm alive. I'm alive because of you."

"No, you're not. This is just a dream." I told him. "Please Dien, take me with you.. Please, don't leave."

He didn't answer. Instead he just kissed me on the lips. The kiss was light and quick. Then he settled his forehead on mine.

"I will not leave you. I'm for real, Brielle. The Creator gave me another chance to be with you. I'm sorry if it took me so long but I'm here now. I won't leave you again. I promise." I look straight into his pitch black eyes. "I love you so much, Gabrielle Creed."

I smiled before answering, "I love you more, Dien Livingston."

Then he kissed my lips again. The missing piece is back in its proper place and I am in the arms of the man I love again.

Nothing can separate us now for God is the rope that binds us.
