"Are you trying to kill yourself?!" he snarled while helping me down.
"I just want to get that book." I pointed at the Divine Comedy six shelves from the floor.
Without a word, Dien climbed and took it for me.
"NEXT TIME.. please make sure that you'll not do anything that can kill you especially when I'm not around."
He said as we sat down. I really like the way he worries about me.
It's, in some way, kind of sweet.
"Yes, sire. Know what, I feel like you're my guardian angel sent by God from heaven to protect me." He looked at me.
I smiled at him then continued reading.
"Brielle.."
"Hmmmm..?"
"What if I'm not the angel you think I am?" I scanned his features. He's serious.
"What if I am the fiend.. the devil for example."
"Dien.. What are you talking about?"
"What if I'm the devil? Would you still want me in your life?"
"Hey.. What's wrong with you?" I asked, touching his cheek.
"Just answer it.. Please."
"If that's the case, I don't care if you're the devil. You're a good person, that'll suffice." I answered
"Well, are you satisfied no--"
I was cut in mid-sentence when Dien hugged me.
"I promise.. I'll never let anyone harm you. I'll protect you with all my life.. Angel or Devil.. I will protect you.."

Sunday morning when Watson dropped by my house and brought an invitation for Dien's 21st Birthday.
He also brought with him a dress which he said was Dien's choice.
"Young Master wants you to come, my lady. You're his most special guest." He said.
"Tell him that I will be there and thank you for the dress." I smiled staring at the beautiful white Sunday dress with black accent.

Friday.
Dien Livingston's Birthday.
It seems that the whole town is invited in this occasion. I heard that Dien's birthday has been an annual event since the family decided to stay here for good.
Politicians and people from elite families are also there. Most of them are business partners of Mr. Livingston.
This will be quite a night for me. Knowing that I'm an anti-social. If not for Dien, I wouldn't be here in the first place.
