"You's beautiful," Spot whispered in Kenny's ear.

They were entangled in their bed, back in Brooklyn.

"Would you ever want to live anywhere else?"

"Where else is there to live?"

"Spot," She sat up. "I'm being serious."

"I dunno,"

She thinned her lips.

"Anywhere with you, doll, is enough,"

She grinned. She was hoping that a fight wasn't beginning to brew.

"Well for that response, I have a little reward for you," She smiles seductively.

"Do ya?" He closes his eyes, anticipating her kiss.

Until the door opens.

"Do you two do anything else?" Bucky sighs. "Kenny, Skit wants ya."

"She's busy," Spot barks.

"Is it urgent, Bucky?" Her eyes remain on Spot.

"He says it is,"

"Like hell are you gonna go see Skit, you's mine right now,"

"Spot, I'll be back."

Bucky closes the door, clearing Kenny to get up.

"Got business with Skit?"

"Not that I know of," As she stood up, she felt nauseous.

"Sounds suspicious."

"Now is not the time to play Jealous Spot," She got dressed in her usual clothes, and fixed her hair. "It's probably Jack using an excuse to get me back in Manhattan."

"I'll see ya later tonight, then?"

She smiled, kissing Spot on the lips. "Of course,"

Kenny left the dock house, greeting all the newsies downstairs. Even the newest generation of newsies knew who she was, as she was extremely important to their leader.

She walked across the bridge, admiring the view. She had always loved this view, whether it was running at midnight to secretly see Spot, or during the sunset after a day of selling paper.

She reached the boarding house, and she found the usual suspects, but no Skittery.

"Racetrack, where's Skittery?"

He looked around, shrugging. "I saw him a minute ago,"

"Jack, what is it," She crossed her arms when her brother approached her.

"Just coming to greet you, can I not greet my sister?"

"You called me here, did you not?"

"No," He furrowed his eyebrows.

"So Skittery really does want to talk to me," She rose an eyebrow.

"I guess, I haven't seen him."

"Well, thank you anyway,"

She walked around the room, dodging newsies engaging in horseplay and whatnot. She finally found him near the bathroom, readjusting his suspenders.

"Skittery," She spoke. "I heard you were looking for me?"

"Right," He didn't look up. "Saw ya old fiancée walkin' around yesterday,"
