"Are the bags packed?" Anne Vanderbilt asks. "I told you boys to p--"

"Pack ahead, and pack ahead we did!" Anthony hands his suitcase over.

"Oh, Anthony. Your antics will be my end, I tell you,"

"Eric, will you go fetch Kendall? She is spending an awful amount of time in her bedroom lately,"

"You know Kendall, she values her alone time. I will do as you wish,"

He walks up the stairs to his love's door. He raises his hand and knocks lightly on her door, like always. She opened the door, hurrying.

"My apologies, I'm running a tad late today,"

"My lady, do not worry. Here, I will take your bags downstairs,"

"Thank you, Eric,"

She watched him take her things downstairs, mentally checking off her list of things she needs.

It was a tradition for the Vanderbilts to go to their plantation home in Florida every February, to escape the cold weather. They hadn't done it in the past couple years to adjust to the new family members and situations, but it was now time to start it back up again.

"I know you boys will love it," Kendall hears Aunt Anne as she gets downstairs. "There's tons of animals and recreational activities for you,"

"I'm very intrigued,"

"Thank goodness we're taking a train,"

"Kendall, darling, are you ready?"

"Yes, Aunt Anne,"

"Good, we must be going!"

A not-so-short train ride later, the whole Vanderbilt clan was in Florida. The breezy air was not nearly as cold as North Carolina, and Kendall was loving it. New York was home, but she could tell she would love Florida.

"This is our plantation!"

The house was very large, the wood painted white and dark blue. It was surrounded by fields and fields of crops. There was a large barnyard, but the entire land was nothing short of sophistication.

"Wow! I love it!" Rosaline squeals. "It's so adorable! Oh my goodness, Anthony! Let's go on a horse ride!" She pulls Anthony toward the house.

"You have to love Rosaline," Kendall laughs.

"She's a blessing," Uncle Cornelius bellowed with laughter.

"I will get our bags all settled," Eric says.

"No, please, let me do it," Kendall reaches for her suitcase. "I wish to see my room,"

"Dear--"

"It really is no problem," She smiles. "I pack light,"

Eric chuckles, letting her pick her suitcase up and carry it into the very large house.

"We will come with you!" Laurel and Patricia skip after her.

The three walk up the wooden staircase and down the long hallway of rooms. Finally finding her room, thanks to direction from the help, she put her suitcase down.

Her room was not as big as her other room in North Carolina, but she loved it anyways. Her bed was small and cozy, and she had a white desk just like her other room.

"Look, Tricia!"

The girls looked outside the window to see Anthony and Rosaline laughing in the garden.
